Just bought "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy Extended Editions Box Set on Blu-ray today. I thought the theatrical release was out now and the extended edition was coming out in the future sometime. Doug

To Lord of the Rings: I lived in Victoria, BC for almost 30 years and spent many summers camping & canoeing in the Okanagan Valley. I am surprised that you didn't mention Nelson, BC. It took several trips there before I figured out that the sweet smelling blue haze over Nelson did *not* come from slash burns outside of town but rather from substances being smoked intown. :^) My favorite place in BC on that side of the hill.

I know B.C. very well, and I've been EVERYWHERE. You have to remember that I was a treeplanter (highballer) for almost 30 years! Yup, planted over 2 millions of them with some 80 footers or so. And I was the very first one to use a set of four bags (fourbaggers) to carry up to 75 pounds of trees up to slopes at 80 degree angles. I've been close to death several times, and I faced Satan himself close up and personal. I talk to God too. I've seen things and been though others that very very few people have ever experienced in more than one lifetime. And I bull you NOT. ...I've been to Oregon too, years ago with my girlfriend in my burgundy 'decapotable' MGB (at the time).

Wow, XPA-2 and XPA-5, that's cool. You should know how to pick them up too after planting 2 million trees. Can we call you Bobby pine nut?
I look forward to your thoughts on your new amps.

And God speaks no words Chuck, only the Essence of it All by way of Deep Innards of the Soul and Spirit.

Oh sorry, just an old MP type joke.
I skied up at Tod Mountain in 65 you know (now called Sun Peaks. Kamloops). I took lessons from one of the most famous Canuck skiers ever, Jim McConkey ("McConk" is now at Whistler). That's why everyone thinks I look like Stein Erickson or Jean-Claude Killy (am I dating myself?) when I ski, poetry on snow.
Jim McConkey was once described by the legendary Austrian skier, Ernst Hinterseer, as the "Best all-round skier in the world".

I planted trees near Tod Mountain in Kamloops, few years back, but not in the 60s, more like in the 80s. I know several people from the Kamloops area, all Masters of their craft. And you just wouldn't believe who lives around this hot region of the summer time, some AMAZING character people; bandits, reformists, capitalists, nudists, gorgeous women, people driving Lamborghinis, big people too (tall & huge, like giants), and drug addicts (heroin & all), all type and characters to be afraid of, or not if you're friend of them, like I was and still am.
But that's life I guess, this world is not so big afterall.
Wow! I didn't know you had a close encounter with a sport celebrity! ...With a champignon, I mean champion. And taken lessons from too, wow! You must feel great! Just like James Brown perhaps?

Chuck, did you run into a tree? That would explain a lot.

Hoping to pick up one of these bad boys in 46" sometime real soon for the living room: Samsung UN46C7000 (240HZ LED) Well finally pulled the trigger on one of these, although I decided to go with a 55" in the 8000 series: .9 inches deep. Hope I don't snap the bugger trying to hang it.

I was checking out one those Samsung LED's last week. Very cool, apparently a bit of the electronics are in the base which allows Samsung to be able to make it that thin.
