For those of you under 55 years of age or so, this a slide rule. It was the predecessor to the electronic calculator. I'm 54 and this is what I have......

Chuckie, I remember the slide rule well. Didn't have calculators when I studied engineering and used the slide rule extensively. Unfortunately I no longer have mine! BTW, that toilet seat is a stretch for those that are left-handed! Maybe it has an option for the control panel to be installed on the left.

No Hemster, if you're left handed, you just face the back of the toilet when you sit on it.

Get it? Worked it out with a slide rule! ;D ...... I went way back into the archives for that joke folks! That one really cracked up Dr. Matsuma, my Mathematics professor. A couple of "chuckles" from some of the older members would be nice. For those of you under 55 years of age or so, this a slide rule. It was the predecessor to the electronic calculator. These were the nerds from the Math Club who all owned the latest and best slide rules. Yeah, but will that toilet tube fit in your belt loop?? I think not!!! ;D "I think nut!!!" Ha ha ha, that's a good one! ;D

www.pullerbear.com/media.htmlI got this bad boy to pull out wild shrubs that are littered about my landscape. Last year I was using my truck and chains to pull out some pesty vines but now I am needing to get some out of the backyard slope down to the waterfront. This is about the most clever invention I have seen for this and will beat me using an auger drill bit to get em out! Yeah, buddy I got me the pro-grip with extended handle.....I will be getting medieval on some shrubs! ;D I finally got this delivered yesterday and when out today and pulled some 15 shrubs and 3 2 inch caliper trees plus one stump that was probably 6 inches that I lost in a hurricane a few years ago. I was amazed as I got a bite on the stump edge worked my way around and ripped that sucker out. Most of these shrubs had deep tap roots and would not come out even after using an auger bit drilling around pulling and such. Using this product on many of these was like taking a straw out of a glass of tea! They make these as you order so it took a few weeks to get but very solid construction. Tomorrow............I tackle the waterfront beds. Canadian innovation on this product and quite cool.

Just got home from the Caribbean today...........I almost forgot how much Hampton Roads sucked. I've been looking at watches for a long time and finally saw one I really liked. Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS in stainless and 18K rose gold with alligator strap. The fiance' surprised me and bought me the gold bracelet that I tried ordering twice before(back-ordered). She gave it to me during a nice dinner on the cruise ship. I was very surprised. Chain is 14kt gold, heavy and has solid hand-made links which look very similar to the anchor chain used on the submarines I served on.

Doesn't fit my style, personally, but I'm a sucker for nice watches regardless. Well played, sir.

Thanks Virtualpj. The only other watch I've ever owned that was more than $25 was an old Citizen diving watch. I haven't worn a watch in nearly 20 years and I thought I'd finally get myself something a little nicer. My daughter and fiance' pestered me enough to go back to the store in St. Maarten and purchase it. I originally told the guy I'd think about it before walking out of the store. Just looked for an extra alligator band.....$325 just for the band I think I'll wait until I wear it out.

Ha...I probably would to.
I go to Aruba every year, and there's something to be said for buying jewelry in those areas/islands. There are some great deals to be had.

Those are very classy watches Rich and Tdogroeder! It's so long since I had a watch like that I forget how tell time with the big hand and the little hand. My Casio has the numbers so it is much easier for me. However, sometimes I forget whether it is AM or PM so I changed it to 24 hour military time. Then I started having flashbacks from Vietnam. So I finally ended up getting a talking watch from Yick Li Industrial (Hong Kong) Co Ltd, an online Asian dealer. The only problem is that is gives the time in Mandarin. Oh well, it seems I just can't win.

Tdogroeder's watch just looks like a cheap Sentax one compares to yours! ;D And that bracelet! Very nice! Kiss your fiancee for me please. - Bob And nice to see you back Rich, well and safe. Yup, just couldn't miss the opportunity to mess the party now, right Chuck? * Actually I like more your watch than the two other ones, I don't know, the color perhaps!

Thanks tdogroeder................I like yours as well. I almost bought an Ernst Benz that looked very similar to your watch. I think I just grew tired after looking for a few years and at hundreds of models this past week.
