There are these acoustic panel frames in my garage screaming for some stain........and the eD subwoofer is only partially built.......I think I'm still in island lazy mode. ;-)

I think I might have been an ant in some former life! Glad to be moving up the food chain though! Okay logging off for the day.

Thanks tdogroeder................I like yours as well. I almost bought an Ernst Benz that looked very similar to your watch. I think I just grew tired after looking for a few years and at hundreds of models this past week. I hear ya, there are some many fine looking timepieces. I would love to get a Panerai, but they way out of my budget of around $6K and up. www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingua=2&id_sezione=3

My fiance' thought they were "too busy" looking and she REALLY liked the one I picked out. Oh well, it's settled then. It is a watch I can hand down to my son someday.

Another expensive watch I like is IWC aka International Watch Company. Very sweet looking timepieces.

Well, the one you got goes for $12K on Amazon. Very nice! I used to collect antique wrist watches but nothing in this league. One like yours is destined to become an heirloom.

Ok, something more down to earth. This weekend's purchases: New jeans & bike helmets for the kids, followed by dinner. It's a beautiful first day of Spring over here. (Yes, I wish I could post a gadget or something audio-related but the UMC is still a few weeks off.)

Well this isn't anything real exciting but it is my latest purchase: Close Encounters on Blu Ray, $15.00 at Wal Mart today. I couldn't pass it up at that price!

I bought a Casio G-Shock in 1988 and wore it until 2008 when my wife bought me a Luminox. The G-Shock still works and I use the stopwatch function on it when timing steaks on the grill... I have never replaced the battery on it and only replaced the band once - amazing little piece of equipment.

Rich, I simply love the chain. I especially dig how it fastens together with a real working shackle. While not my latest purchase, this is my most recent watch... Chase Durer "Bomber Command Chronograph". Made with steel from a Combat Tested B-52 Bomber PS, what's the deal with your DIY sub??

Thanks for the compliment on the chain......she really surprised me. I like the clasp, but it is a *bleep* to connect with one hand-

I like the clasp, but it is a *bleep* to connect with one hand- If I can shackle the anchor on the bow of my boat in 15 foot seas, I can fasten that bracelet with one hand. Just send it my way, and I'll let you know if I am right or wrong. Hurry up with that sub. I wanna see a picture of your ear to ear grin. BTW, check out my GTG thread and wideawake's comments on my A7s-650.

From 1988 without ever changing the battery? For who do you take us for, a bunch of farmers from the fish market place? Gab
