Are these guys speaking English? I have no idea what they're talking about. Whatever it is......it looks cool! I'm with Animo on this one. Could you explain what your HTPC does? How does it work, ect? How much does something like that go for? I'm sorry I'm so ignorant, but I guess I'm one of the few who are still holding on to physical media as being my main source of entertainment. Maybe we should start a section here in the forums titled "HTPC for Dummies"...'cause that is definitely where I fit in. I do have to agree though, it looks real cool!! ;D I may have to buy one just to stare at it. It's a "home theater PC" it's just a computer hooked up to your tv/audio gear. Mine has a blu-ray drive so I can play movies on my big tv with it (as well as playing pc games on a 67") It's very nice if you have lots of music or movies and stuff (or like to play games). It really simplifies having access to all your digital media to your HT. The HTPC case doingok has is meant to look like a high end piece of audio gear so you can have it in your rack without it looking out of place. That case is freaking sweet! Thats a pretty high end case though, most aren't that nice (especially with the touch screen ) but any pc would work, it's for ascetics.

I used to build a lot of higher end PC's (water-cooled, etc.) and got the bug to build another one. I'm kinda picky on aesthetics, it's my downfall.

Hey Doingok, I have another question for you. If you don't mind could you tell me how much your HTPC set you back? I understand that you built it yourself so what you paid and what someone like myself would pay are two completely different numbers. I do really well when it comes to hooking up A/V systems(I'm the guy who gets called as soon as one of my friends buys something new), but building the components...no so much. I have probably close to 500 CD's, 1000 or so DVD's, and a fledgling BlueRay collection and I would love to be able to put it all in one place so to speak. If I understand it correctly this is exactly what a HTPC does right? I'm not much of a "gamer"(LOL, probably the furthest thing from it), so that's not a concern for me. Although, I do have to admit, my wife and I have been known to rock out to Metallica's Guitar Hero after putting the kids to bed....and yes there was ALWAYS liquor involved. ;D

Nothing fancy. Just some TechFlex and cable pants to make up a new pair of cables for when I rewire a couple of things.

There's about $2500 in parts there. N8Doggy- You'll love the case. The only issue I have is you are limited on cd drives......has to be the shorter players (less than 170mm I think?)
