After several weeks of waiting, the custom plantation shutters finally came in and were installed today in my pool table room and my listening room. They did a pretty good job.........surprisingly stupidly expensive but hopefully will last a long time. I will really be happy when the house mods are done.

You have very good taste. I just finished building a custom machine for manufacturing shutters very similar to those for a large company (sorry, can't tell you who yet ). They have mitered corners and are standard and custom order. You will see them available in the big home improvement stores in a couple months (if the machine runs well that is... ).

Thanks for the compliments. So, anyone know where to buy some nice shelves? I'm trying to find something nicer than vinyl coated presswood or something you find at Lowes. I need to get some shelves for a built in area in the girlfriends office to house the AV gear. Thanks in advance fellas.

Very basic, but quite nice. www.jesperoffice.com/

mmmmm heart attack on a bun! lol My newest purchase was a new corsair HX850 watt power supply for my HTPC so I can finally get the other vid cards in there. tis nice! Very nice. I grabbed the 1000 Watt version for my HTPC build. I've been so busy that I haven't even loaded the OS on it yet. I'm going to see how the 80gig solid state drive works for a boot disk. Then, I've got a 1 TB WD Black Series and a 300 gig Velociraptor disk to play with along with the Quad core and 12gig of ram: Ok, I am total geek immersed too, now I hate to crash the party , but how much does this system cost?? I does look awesome. I have always wanted to build one myself. Looks like a got a reference here now. ;D. Wow.

Why two? In case one gets "lost"? ;D I have four cars and get tired of switching them out. The nuvi works better than the Infiniti built in navigation so I got one for it also.

...and I thought they were frivolous, until my son got me a Tom-Tom. Good bye maps that open but never fold back up the way they began!

Not a purchase, but I am auditioning these at the moment: The LD-2 is a stereo line drive pre-amp and the DNA 250 is a 250 watt 2 channel amp. ($2500 and $4000 respectively) Build quality is impressive...sound should be too at the price. Will get down to business with them later this week...Alas, I can only compare it to my lowly LPA-1!!! Perhaps I could work something out w/ Lonnie and an XPA-2?? ;D www.mccormackaudio.com/index1.html

Mccormack audio is the main support for their owner sister company Conrad Johnson. Things have been rough for CJ here on the west coast at least. I heard they had cut their work week down. With their base Preamplifier getting further and further away price point wise, it is no wonder people are looking for alternatives. The Mccormack line is the highlight because it does sound good and for the price is reasonable at least. Case in point for Conrad Johnson the CT series base model was $5000.00. Nice sound, but not worth the 5 large they were asking thank you very much.

Here's my most recent purchase..........it was yummy good. Mine was actually a bacon mushroom cheeseburger with A-1 sauce, minus the lettuce and tomato. In reality, it comes as a double. You have to order the small burger in order to get a single. You lucky dog you, we don't have Five Guys here in Florida!!! I just checked, there are over 18 million people! ;D Doug
