"Talk about pissing in my cornflakes and sucking the fun outta life... You're depressing me..." Not intended towards you, just was a few facts about this particular meal, intended for general purposes info. Hey, you can get depressed now,...Or after your quadruple bypass or stroke... you choose. LOL It was said in jest. We're all gonna die. If I'm gonna die, it might as well be with a belly full of Five Guys burgers and fries.

You're too kind... I worry about posting so many highly positive reviews about Emotiva equipment. My credibility will be damaged if I'm perceived as an "Emotiva fanboy." But the standard I hold myself to is "I write'em as I hear'em." The only Emotiva gear I remember being somewhat less than taken with was their BasX home theater speaker set. The hardest thing about reviews, for me, is the inevitable comparison between equipment that costs $X and similar components that cost $2X, $4X, or even $5X. Often the difference is cosmetics. Yes, you get a marvelous looking piece of furniture - yes, you get bragging rights about owning the latest and greatest from a major player in high-end audio - and yes, you get to impress your friends and rivals with the amount you spent for whatever you bought. But (and it's a BIG but) often the actual performance difference between the carriage-trade item and the economy one is minimal. So what do I say when I have to write about the expensive item? Obviously, a lot of people DO like to buy such things and they're not only proud of their purchase, but also defensive enough to resent anyone giving them reason to doubt their own judgment... So even though their $10K pair of speakers may honestly perform no better (and sometimes slightly worse - but only slightly) than a product costing 1/5 to 1/10 as much, the customer has paid for what was important to THEM. They wanted the status, they wanted the polished finish, and they wanted the build quality and guarantee that came with their megabuck speaker - and they got it. So who am I to point out that the same performance might have been available at a fraction of the price? Although performance might be paramount to ME, those who opt to buy hyper expensive gear plainly have other (or at least additional) priorities. And to stir the ant pile once again (I can hear you groan now) - If we can understand why some customers would prefer to spend a lot of their own money on "fancy speakers," just for additional looks and prestige, why don't we extend that understanding to those who choose to purchase expensive interconnects and speaker wires? After all, it's THEIR money, and if they choose to spend it on "looks and prestige," then why should we care? Myself, being one who prefers performance alone as my primary purchasing metric, might not make such choices, but why should I care if others choose differently? And as usual, I digress - so I'll return the thread to those who have made recent purchases. Boomzilla Just purchased the T2 and C2s.. based on your recommendation.. installed the new theater screen 180ā SI and Sony projector., got a new Marantz atmos receiver Iāll let you know my thoughts - I have golden ears for my living room and couldnāt justify the new triton 1 .R s.. Question I have given the economical center channel is do I get 2?! One on order now but my room is 23ā wide by 10ā tall and 65ā deep...

Center channel speakers are (hopefully) designed to provide a specific horizontal dispersion pattern. If you were to place two identical center channel speakers together, one on top of the other, the horizontal dispersion would be about the same, although the vertical dispersion might be a bit odd. However, if you place two side by side, you might end up with a significant comb-filter effect due to interference between the drivers in each.
If that happens, you could end up with a series of nulls and hot spots as you move from left to right, which might result in an unstable center image, or poor dialog intelligibility in certain listening locations. (Whether that actually happens or not will depend on your room and the actual design of the speaker.)
If it were me, and I had room to stack two center channel speakers, I might try that... However, I probably would NOT try putting two side by side...

Iāll let you know how it sounds - Iām expecting it to be plenty.. I would assume I should be using the XPR -5 for the front, center and in wall golden ear sides and let the marantz power the rest of the surround/atmos speakers. Iāve had the XPR-5 on ice until I got the theater up..

You should go to 5 Guys for the burger and fries, then go to Outback for a Bloomin' Onion...after that kind of meal, you can hear your blood "smoosh" as it makes turns in your arteries. Mark

A Nikon D750 with 24-120 F4 VR lens. Replacing my trusty D700. ![](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/8753/8753767le.jpg;maxHeight=640;maxWidth=550) Ooooohhhhh, drooling... I am toying with the idea of replacing my aging D90. If I go Full Frame it is going to be the D750. If I stay with the DX format the D7500 or, for a little more money, the D500. Why is it so darn difficult to spend money sometimes!!! ššš

I auditioned these in my home and really really liked everything about them. They would have stayed if not for closing on my house spending constraints. Still love the the look and higher midrange voicing on these. Great job Scott!

The 7500 is a killer camera, and the D750 lets full frame and get the depth of field it is famous for. Also your glass choices in the Nikon line are vast as the 750 will take any lens Nikon ever made for the F mount.

At Axpona I heard their flagship and mid-ship models and they really impressed with the accuracy, deep bass extension, and very clear yet "comfy" highs. They were very apparent but not harsh and I'm a huge fan of smooth highs. Scott

Nice! Great gift, man wish I was your brother! He's my only brother but we're very close. Spent about 10 years in our 20s not talking to each other over some stupid family stuff. He's the one guy I trust the most in this world and he would never spend any money on himself, only his 2 girls (now in their early 20s) He's as big a music nut as me and will greatly enjoy these as long as he thinks I paid next to nothing for them.
