Yard sale! Brietling Chronomat a13350. The seller was wearing a titanium Breitling, with a image on the dial of the plane that he qualified in. Very cool watch! I asked if he had any other watches he wanted to sell, and he pulled this one out of a drawer in his house, saying he never wore it anymore. I've never owned a Breitling before...

Wow! What a find. Way to go Boom. Thanks - I left my business card with the gent, and he says he has the box, extra links, and original receipt in a box in his attic, and will call me when he finds them. Two of the only watches I got at yard sales and regret not keeping were: Omega "Man on the Moon" chronograph and Tag Heuer automatic chronograph I generally don't like chronographs (or automatic-winds), but beyond a certain price point, they're all you can get. Quartz brands that I like include: Oris Rado Swiss Army Tissot Wenger Zenith Zodiac (the old ones, made in Switzerland, rather than the cheap chronos they make today) Quartz brands I don't like include: Any brand trying to sell a name rather than a quality watch. I expect any watch I buy to have an all-stainless case, water resistance to at least 100 meters, and a sapphire crystal. Missing any of those? No thanks.

Finding something that is my type. The Razer Huntsman Elite just sends me to typing Nirvana. Nothing like it. I am curious about Cherry Silver though, but heard it is annoying because the throws are so short, and the thing I love about this keyboard is the positive feedback and tactile response and the reasonable throws of the switches. Tried Corsair,Logitech,Hyper X, and this one. Oh my SteelCase is no contest either. Though at work the Steelcase is perfect. Quiet and reasonably fast when I need it, but it is a Prius vs. a Tesla. Excellent!

Excellent! If you ever want to see keyboards that were made for people who learned how to "PROPERLY" Touch-Type: Das Keyboard Ultimate - NO labeling on the keys. That's right - it's completely black and NOT backlit... For TRUE "Uber Geeks": www.daskeyboard.com/daskeyboard-4-ultimate/I also remember when I was a kid. My Mom worked as a Programmer / Analyst in the late 1970's and later on IBM Mainframes. The "dumb terminals" that were used with them had Model 5251 keyboards that weighted about 15 pounds, and used a unique system of "buckling springs" with capacitive inner moving parts and some even had a heavy solenoid fastened to a metal sub-plate that was designed to mimick the "ca-CHUNK" of the original IBM Selectric series typewriters (this paragraph is for the TRUE "old-farts" among us). Ennyhoo - there are companies who have made adapter circuit boards that can drive those old keyboards if you are fortunate enough to find one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qw6ebySet0

Not really a PURCHASE - but gave-away some old "classic" equipment to my Nephew & his wife (young and recently married):
-Had a Kenwood Receiver from 1990s that I got from my boss. Cleaned and tested it -My previous PolkAudio Monitor Series M5JR speakers, still in pretty darned good shape and no slouch in the performance department
Gave him some ideas on how to set it up (recommended that he get some speaker stands and an interface cable / Bluetooth Music Link for his digital music collection) Think that it'll give them some decent musical enjoyment and will be a HUGE upgrade from anything that they both currently have
(Previously gave-away my old Zenith Allegro 2000 ported 2-ways to a co-worker who can't afford much of anything new, and his kid destroyed his old Pioneers...)
BOTH cases are a "Win-Win": -Equipment that is gathering dust found a new home where it will be enjoyed / appreciated -Got some stuff out of the basement / score some "brownie points" with my better half...

It was mandatory for High School where I went. I could type faster than allot of the girls. Other guys would give me a rough time till grading time came. The laugh was on them. Skill vs. having it done for you. We live in times where tech and whining are king. Learn a skill get good at it and do something good for someone.

Going to give these a try... Massdrop x Meze 99 Noir I look forward to your thought. They arrived today. Initial thoughts, they are well built, very light, but they STINK!!! Not sure if it's the zippered case or the stain on the wooden cups, but there's some sort of off-gassing occuring and no, it's not coming from my pile of Schiit nor is it a by-product of todays lunch. Seriously, I'm going to let them air out in a separate room, playing through my Macbook for a few hours before I pass any litening judgement. In the meantime, I plan to listen to a few Roon playlists with my AKGs and warm stack of Schiit...

I always loved them, never owned one. Edit: When I first read your post, I thought this guy just had it out at a yard sale. I was thinking, what kind of neighborhood do you live in where Brietlings are laying out at yard sales? The yard sales I’ve been to, I’d be lucky to grab a timex for $2.
