After 30 years figured I better replace my Frigidaire side by side with a new counter depth LG French door fridge..(Wife very happy) Problem with new fridge- had to replace (build) a new base (booze) cabinet so it would fit. Made it 2" more shallow so I didn't take the turn too tight & bruised my hip. (a win, win) Ya, I keep the old one for a "beer" fridge. lol Sold the old "Beer" fridge (GE) today or $75 after paying $100, used. 25 yrs ago. For $1/ yr, I hope I got my money's worth.(LOL) If it ain't broke...

That' just for cans?! wow, nice! Yes, or for loudspeakers. Plus it is for both standard dynamic and electrostatic headphones, which is fairly rare. 100% tube amp, sounds really great.

I wanted a stationary one that ran on natural gas, but the earliest installation time was the end of August or early September.

McIntosh MC462 - Stereo Amplifier Monday I took a ride to Binghamton NY to Audio Classics to hear some different amps mated with Legacy Audio speakers as I own the Legacy Whisper XDS and it’s important to me to hear how an amp interacts with my tweeters and mids. The results were clear and obvious to my ears after auditioning four different amps. The winner by a margin was the Mark Levinson mono blocks at a price tag of $50,000 for a pair. Out of the question due to price. Next was a monster Krell class A amp not sure of model number. Eh. Sounded ok but didn’t wow me at all. There was a dead tie between the McIntosh MC462 and the MC611 mono blocks. They sounded warm, detailed and full and painted the illusion of the instruments being in the room through the Legacy speakers. At an additional $7,000 for the mono blocks there was no way to justify them over the MC462. Honestly I would probably fail a blind test between the two setups as they were voiced the same and both seemed to offer endless headroom. The amplifier is still breaking in but frankly the McIntosh/Legacy combo seems to be a sonic matchup that my ears really enjoy. Posting up a photo of lehighvalleyjeff new Mc with the rig. Was a nice listening session the other night! Scott

Wow how many drivers on that thing? Some folks criticize Tekton speakers for having a lot of drives but these speakers aren't that far behind. They are 11 driver, 4 way speakers. The 15" open baffle woofs are "sandwiched" closely together and fire in unison; a really unique design that puts out an impressive amount of bass without any cabinet resonance. Very nice mids as well from the 4 - 7" drivers. The AMT tweet/supertweet combo is incredibly airy and blends very well with the mids. Scott

Made my decision, I’ll test this one for 30 days to make sure I made a great choice! First ride was a trip! LOL It’s been so damn hot! I may add a serious headlight to it ASAP!

Not that I needed another amp, but at $49...it was impossible to pass up. Another Sherbourn TST-2/200 with eight channels pushing 100 watts each or fully balanced XLR run in stereo with 200 watts per channel. I already have one in the garage so I will probably swap this one in to power my pc audio through my Klipsch RC-3 ii pair. Using the Emotiva XDA-2 as a preamp/DAC with a Klipsch Sub-10.

Could not turn it down. I need power. I need to save my back, and save money. No brainer. One form factor and one power cord, and my AVR can Chillax now and just be a Pre Pro. The Crown XLS-1002. Enough for the Bedroom. My studio hybrid theater is coming along on the cheap per my theme.

Nice Scott Are those the same speakers I saw at your house? Mitch Yes, Jeff bought my old Whisper XDS from me when I changed over to Aeris. Now I'm listening to the Valors. Would be fun to do a movie or audio night sometime when you get time. I'll coordinate with Jeff. I'd still like to hear your Tektons.

Posting up a photo of lehighvalleyjeff new Mc with the rig. Was a nice listening session the other night! Scott I've read that the Legacy speakers have a remarkable low end at low volumes. Is this your experience as well? They are all quite dynamic at lower volumes depending on what you're playing and/or how you have contour configured in the Wavelet DSP.
Had a great sit down with Bill Dudleston at Legacy when I picked up my Valors; he showed me a few simple tricks to compensate for the inherent bass suckout of most rooms.
Their sealed cabinet models tend to yield heartier bass at lower volumes but the open baffle models are exceptional at slightly higher volumes. 70 dB + Scott
