So you mean to say you guys carry pistols around in public ?? What would one plan to use it for, only law enforcement are allowed up here in Canada. Chad Weapons are used to save lives, authorities show up with body bags. You can’t possibly believe that police can protect everyone at all times. If you choose to carry you should have an attorney for each round fired. A separate rider on my homeowners insures me. My state allows open carry as well as concealed with a permit. I believe nobody should have a weapon and not know how to use it properly. It is a huge responsibility. God forbid I should ever take a life but if need be I am prepared to save lives. Nick Scary stuff, I'm sheltered living in Canada haha, I couldn't even imagine that type of responsibility, such a weird thing to me to see civilians carry guns like that. I had two buddies handcuffed by police and almost taken to jail for shooting a paint ball gun off a 30 story balcony, there were 8 police officers in our apartment, I was asleep at the time and had 3 cops bust in my room pointing their guns at me and wake me up, talk about waking up quickly haha. Chad

Chad Why did they bust into your room? What made them think you were the perpetrator? Down here they would need a good reason to do such a thing. Carrying a weapon is a HUGE responsibility! One that should never be taken lightly!

While the crime rate here in Maine is the LOWEST in the USA, there are still crazy and/or evil people willing to create havoc and harm others. I have no blood lust, but I WILL protect myself and my family, with deadly force if necessary.

This is my 6 years ago purchase to keep the darn raccoons out of the back yard, great Amazon price at that time. (Smith & Wesson M&P 40 .177 Caliber (300 fps), $35. 300 fps ?
My CO2 pellet pistol does 450 fps and my pellet air rifle does 1200 fps.

Yes, some info on my S&W CO2 bb pistol says 300fps, some says 370fps, some says 410fps and others say 480fps. I went back to my Amazon order and the web page indicates 410fps, while the specs near the bottom of the page says 480fps. ?? I'm guessing about 400fps might be close. The noise bothers the stellar jays, crows more than the bb's. The raccoons are just plain ornery!

I have no blood lust, but I WILL protect myself and my family, with deadly force if necessary. I live in a relatively safe part of Florida, but we are far from immune to crime. One of the more common crimes in our area is car jacking. There have been a few seniors that have been taken hostage while thugs take their car for a joy ride and then take any cash and belongings they may have. Therefore I keep a .45 in my van and do not allow anyone to approach my vehicle. Also, my wife is an amputee paraplegic so she is seen as an easy victim when she is out and about around town. Fortunately, she is not willing to be a victim and carries a Sig P238. She is well trained and a pretty good shot. Besides the conceal carry class we have taken instruction from a NRA Certified trainer and have taken a number of hours of judgement training. I highly recommend the judgement training if you have the chance. It puts you into scenarios that force you to make split second life or death decisions. When I started the training, I was shocked at how reluctant I was to use deadly force. I guess I just want to believe the best in people. Though I eventually learned to assess real threats and how to act. Additionally, the course teaches you how to address threats so that you are protected legally. I really can't say enough good things about this training.

Chad One would use it for defensive purposes if needed. Think of it the same way you would an insurance policy. You really hope to never use it because it means that something bad happened but if you do need it you will be glad you have it. The reality is that when seconds count the police are only minutes away. Safety of yourself, your family and loved ones and those around you are your responsibility, not that of others. To each their own though.

Nick Due to the way the media cover anything firearm related many people think that the only uses of firearms are negative ones but the truth is the exact opposite is true and you need not take my word for it. It was either FBI or DOJ that had statistics showing that defensive uses far outnumbered offensive uses. Most firearms by a vast majority are used for neither. The delete button will be implemented shortly.

Going to give these little guys a try, when I have time I would like to do a comparison with my UPA-1 amps, I'm not into the whole big audio lingo thing but I will try to explain what i prefer and why, the issue is time and a quiet house haha. They even came with the rack mount kit, I have no use for it so if anyone needs it shoot me a PM. Chad

version 2.0 also has a bit of a different trigger group too. Yeah, but version 1 had a reel-to-reel plug in. Gotta have great analog tunes as you off a few rounds... Mark Yeah but Auto Reverse is problematic.

I think the UPA-1 would be one of my favorite amplifiers Emotiva ever made. Is the PA-1 going to compare? What will be different. Will there be a difference?

So you mean to say you guys carry pistols around in public ?? What would one plan to use it for, only law enforcement are allowed up here in Canada. Chad I have had a Conceal Carry Permit ever since I was legally able to obtain one to protect myself and others from great bodily harm or death. That has been almost 30 years. I play pool seriously and often travel out of town or even out of state for pool tournaments. A lot of unsavory characters in pool halls. Lots of stories of people being robbed in parking lots. In the local pool hall I play out of I shake hands with muderers every time I go in there. There are plenty of people who have been to prison and are not afraid to go back. I once chased down the guys who arm robbed a friend of mine in the parking lot of the first pool hall I worked at. The guy with the gun had just turned 18. He got 8 years. If I had not been there, what other crimes would he have committed? Would he have ended up shooting somebody? For 8 years he did not. Police is also a verb. You don’t have to be an LEO, (Law Enforcement Officer), to police. I would never want to be forced to rely on someone else to defend myself from bodily injury or harm or theft. I consider LEO’s to be supplemental to my personal defense.

Chad Chad, not all Americans carry, conceal, or even own guns. I choose not to. Not in my home, not in my car, not in my neighborhood. It comes down to choice, personality, and circumstance. I don’t even take one in the woods. But I do have choice. I even laughed at the name tactical tomahawk. To me a hatchet is a tool. Peace.
