Interesting little gadget... and the price is certainly right.
Note that, in order to use it, your audio signal goes through both an A/D and a D/A conversion.... so both an ADC and a DAC. And I'm a bit dubious about the quality of an ADC and a DAC that together cost less than $50.... But, since it's only handling low frequencies, the requirements there aren't especially critical.
Likewise, while the microphone in a smart phone is not really good enough for full range room calibration, it should be plenty good enough for low frequencies. (I would also kind of liked to see at least RCA jacks.... )
We'll be waiting to hear how it works out.

Magilla Gorilla hands, and all to brief battery life of the Sony A7ii. Addressed. Also the USB to camera charging is very dodgy. That is a no on that too! Resolved.   |
