View AttachmentPurchased this center channel from one of our fellow lounge members here. Hated to see him and Chuck delete their profiles. Anyhow, I got a chance to pair it up with my white Tekton enzo's for a movie last night. I must say that it was a blast! The audio was so clear yet forward, in your a$$! Loved it. They are so sensitive that Audyssey® had them turned down to - 12. I fixed that nonsense and whoa powerful. My Enzo towers are now my side surrounds😎

Well I took a detour off my original order that I posted earlier of a pair of Schiit Aegir amps, the Freya+, Yggy and Lyr 3 and got the PrimaLuna 400 integrated amp instead. After doing extensive reading about it, I just had to try it. It arrived from Upscale Audio, all 85 lbs of it (68 lbs net weight) which was a big hassle moving around! But it is in the rack, connected and ready to go. I'm posting this prior to my first listening. I hope it sounds as gorgeous as it looks and as excellent as the build quality is. Meanwhile I canceled the Schiit orders, for which they didn't have any real ETA anyway because they're backlogged on so many things.

What tubes does it use?

Jeez if that weighed 68 pounds I'd hate to think what those Bob Carver amps weigh!!

Thanks! No, it doesn't have a phono section - you have to buy that separately and then it attaches on the bottom. I have no interest in vinyl so that's fine with me. The tubes are PrimaLuna-branded so I am not sure who really makes them. With 8 power tubes and 6 smaller driver tubes I can tell you with pretty much certainty I don't plan on tube rolling.

And congrats!

I got started with portable speakers when one was given to me as a gift. When finally it croaked, I had a chance to pick my own.
Sonos move.....very cool WIFI/Bluetooth speaker. Sounds great for what it is. Microphone EQ, loudness and BASS/TREBLE control from the phone app! 10+ hrs. Battery life and a charging base that works like an inductive pickup.

Although there is color selection, there is WAF. These will not sit in a dedicated listening room, so... the most effective color is the least noticeable (according to one of us). So, they will be dark gray/ charcoal color. If it were up to me alone, they would be Double Impacts in a nice high gloss blue (a little darker than Emo blue).
