my latest purchase was:
20 pack of Weiheinstephaner bottles, and 1 case of Franzisskaner Hefe, and 2 cases of Newcastle brown ale. and i received as a present, a nice bottle of Bushmills from a friend in Belfast!!!! oh the fun ill have!!!! cheers to my brother alcoholics

anyone make any sweet purchases lately? Here is my latest audio related purchase. Topaz Ultra Isolator Line Noise Suppressor * Freq: 50/60 Hz * Capacitance 001pf * Input Voltage 120/240 * 5 KVA I was inspired by Mintzar's XPA-1 review and his explanation of what an Isolation Transformer is and what it did for his system. It is probably over kill for my system now but I hope I'll be set going fwd. It has not been delivered yet but I hope it will make it in time for the Rat's nest contest. With all that excess power cable the thing has along with all the other snakes behind my audio rack that $150 is as good as mine. heh heh heh ;D JD |

Picked up a RS analog SPL meter from Ebay for $20, a couple weeks ago. Pretty good find I think.
Snagged some CD's while I was in Austin last week.
Oh yeah, and we got our direct vent fireplaces, ordered bathroom sinks, and lights, and a bunch of other things for the house.

Hmmmm.......been busy as hell selling crap off my Z06 vette prior to listing it for sale. So far I've sold over $9,000 in wheels, headers, hood, etc. etc. I am looking at picking up a new car real soon......got the itch again. Until I make the final decision, I've picked up a few other things lately: 1. Spent a very nice car downpayment on an engagement ring for my girlfriend. She has absolutely no clue and I have a pretty good plan for the proposal. I picked out a nice Tacori platinum setting and a gorgeous 1.52 carat radiant cut diamond with an E color and VVS2 clarity. The setting below is what I bought but the stone pictured is smaller (1 carat).  2. Picked up 10 tickets to a couple Redskins games. I'm a 49ers fan so I'm screwed since I live in Redskins country. My son has never been to a pro game so he'll enjoy it. 3. Taking my kids and girlfriend on the brand new (just finished building) Oasis of the Seas cruise ship in April. It is now the world's largest cruise ship and looks phenomenal. I've never been on a cruise and we are going for 7 days to the Caribbean. wow some nice purchases here! haha, congrats! Well, I've been piecing together a new system. Plus I'll be getting speaker stands etc. Currently everything is in boxes right now just waiting for my move. Damn, can only upload one picture at a time. Oh well, here is the Tech-Craft stand I just bought. It was $100 off the regular price.
I also just ordered a pair of ERM-1's and a faceplate for my (still in the box) UPA-7.
Then my 5.1 speakers are Angstrom Modular 2's for the mains, Angstrom Omega 5's for the rear, 10i sub, and Modular 6C as a center.
Oh yeah, I also have a new Oppo BDP-83. Now just waiting for the UMC-1 to be realeased to complete the system since my Yamaha bit the dust.
