Gunnite is more expensive and allows for a custom pool of your own design...seems to be the way you usually go. I had a pool company come out and give me a quote for a gunite pool first. Total cost was going to be within $10K of what I ended up getting. I do like the fact that you can have a custom design...problem is my imagination usually ends up costing me a LOT more. This pool should fit our needs perfectly. I wanted a Hugh Hefner grotto but was shot down by the wife.

I know dick about swimming pools! But I'm more familiar with lakes, rivers, rapids, chutes, oceans, and all that Jazz... * Anyway Rich, it's nice of you to share the progression as I'm now learning about outdoor swimming pools! And hope they gonna fill that pool for free, and also fix your backyard.

Don't laugh folks, but this is the best $12.99 I have spent in a long time! I saw this Duracell headlamp at Costco and it looked like a great price. However, at first the only thing I thought I might use it for was hiking. I do go on a daily (most days) 70 minute hike on the local mountain for my cardiology work out. I just recently bought a fabulous Fenix LED flashlight that is great if I run late and into darkness. So I passed it up and then the wheels started turning. Flat tire at night ..... camping, setting up the tent etc., after dark ..... during a power outage, hands free light ..... sneaking in and out of my girlfriends house when her husband is out of town ..... hands free checking under the hood of the car ..... then as I went by the electronics section it hit me! Of course, when I'm behind my component rack holding a flashlight and attempting to hook up connectors. So I forked over the $12.99 plus tax and my wife thought it was a great idea (I didn't tell her about the one use). Well folks, today my new ERC-2 arrived and this headlamp is worth every dime! It has an adjustable stretch band and three angle bulb settings and the light is very bright, new style LED AAA battery bulb. This is a great tool. It costs about $25-$30 at most local stores and online dealers. Highly recommended! www.duracell.com/en-US/product/daylite-headlamp-3aa.jspx

Where are you putting the waterfall, slide and hot tub? Jacuzzi spa is going next to the house, built into the deck (which is being completely replaced with a composite structure). Waterfall is going along the backside of the pool. Right where the piece of 2" PVC pipe is sticking out of the ground. The other 4 PVC pipes sticking out around the pool are where we are putting "deck jets" that squirt an arch of water into the pool. No water-slide this time. @chuckie....you're cracking me up.

Got a Garmin GSC-10 Speed and Cadence Sensor for use with my Garmin Edge 800. Hopefully, I will be able to install it tonight when I get home from work in time for use at tomorrow's Gold Coast Bike ride: //www.huntingtonbicycleclub.org/goldcoast.html

Either way have a good ride. Thanks, Mark. It was an very hilly ride on a very hot day. It took about 4 and a half hours to complete the 56 mile ride at a slow 12.5 mph ave. speed.
