Hello,
I have a mini and a basx a-100. I was thinking of using one in the bedroom, but would need a way to turn off the LED. I would use an Apple Express with Airport, so the auto-sensing of the a-100 works perfectly, but the light is a big problem. Any way to turn it off, or is my only alternative to put a cloth over the front?

I have light dims. how the world would one apply light dims to the round light surrounding the volume knob? I haven't opened the unit, but is there a place inside to apply a light dim? |

Ah, sorry, I had not realized the A-100 had only THAT kind of LED 🙂
I'd guess that is a circular light pipe (a ring of semi-transparent plastic) with a single LED attached to part of it.
In theory you could stick a light dimming sticker in between, but who knows how it has actually been assembled.
Or (going out on a limb here), you could measure the diameter of the volume knob and see if a hardware store has a thin, black rubber gasket just the right size to fit around it and block at least some of the light
