I just learned of the miniDSP. Looks like a pretty cool tool. For shits & giggles, what do think would happen if I used the DSP to combine the Stealth 8 and 4s monitors? There is so much adjustability using the 2x4 miniDSP. My first thought was that it would be a treble heavy monster, but hey, no problem, I'll just filter those ear piercing ribbon tweeters into submission. My SB-3000 sub already has excellent adjustability via SVS app. Freeing the Stealth 8s of those low frequency responsibilities might render some nice results? I'm just getting into the tinkering phase of audio, so someone stop me if this is a dumb idea.

The HD version, for example allows for more delay and I believe better resolution. It can also be upgraded to use Dirac. You may also want to use a balanced connection which will require a different model. Measure twice, cut once.

...Measure twice, cut once. Measure? We don' need no stinkin' measure!

I thought about getting XLR-->RCA converters so that I can use the HD, but I saw something on another forum that stated that something(?) is lost in the conversion? I'm enough of a newbie that I don't fully understand what is potentially lost in that conversion. Anybody know?

I would be careful. Doesn't the Stealh 8 have a pair of built-in amps....And some processing? Running a processor INTO another processor might give weird or even unpredictable rsults.
don't get me wrong, I love the idea of the MiniDSP. For the Experimenter, IMO, the big sell for the HD version is that you can use FIR filters which have no phase shift thru the the passband.
