I discovered over the weekend that my Panasonic DP-UB820 4k Bluray player can play music from my QNAP NAS. I spent the weekend ripping my CD collection and transfering my hi-res music. Looking forward to trying it out.

Looks like my Oppo BDP-93 does this too and also displays all the metadata, the Panasonic doesn't. With the Oppo it is easier to find the album I want to play. I'm now using the Oppo to play music.

I have a QNAP NAS that contains my music library and a Roon core, but I also have the NAS connected directly to my RMC-1 with HDMI. There are several QNAP apps you can use to play your music library and you can use the QNAP Q-remote feature which turns your phone or tablet into a remote as a keyboard, mouse or push button remote. It works nice. Enjoy!
