Question: what specification does the Headphone Amp have in the RMC-1? What OHMs are supported? or better use a separate Headphone Amp for Music?

I can't find any specs for the headphone section of the RMC-1 in their manual. They only describe it as "high quality headphone output (1/8” stereo connector)" and discuss how it interacts with speakers and trims. You may want to contact Emo support to get the specs.
To me nothing says 'high quality' quite like an 1/8" input connection for your HP just like I have on my other 'high quality' components like my Roku remote, IPod Nano, my laptop and smart phone. Just saying. But you can certainly do a comparison between your Cocktail Audio X45 and the RMC-1 if you have an 1/8" adapter for your HPs. I much prefer my RME ADI-2 DAC for the rare times that I use HP's. YMMV

I still disagree with the logic to switch to 1/8” jacks, even if most current HPs use them. A 1/4” to 1/8” adapter can fit almost completely inside the unit allowing someone to use 1/8” or 1/4” without an obtrusive adapter that leverage can easily break. That said, it’s water under the bridge, but it does make me less likely to use headphones with my Emo gear.

And the new Streamer/DAC does not have a Phono OUTPUT due to the full width Front Display. As I don't have currently a headphone (planned to buy one) I could check for a proper cable or get a dedicated Headphone AMP. I'll check the RMC with my sons Beyerdynamic DT-770, which has a 1/8 Connector. Hopefully it supports 250 Ohms.

And I have seen Adapters with short cables - so the force is not so strong on the adapter itself.

Has there been any further "official" word on the DTS-X Pro updates?

Has there been any further "official" word on the DTS-X Pro updates? The Magic 8-Ball says... " My sources say NO".

Happy Friday the 13th Emotiva’ers. Question, I have read many places that went the non-DLBC version of Dirac its best to sum multiple (2 in my case) subs and run them from one sub output using my RMC-1L; agree? I am familiar with REW and plan to select locations, gain level them, and set onboard SVS PEQs using that tool, then running Dirac. After Dirac I’ll check my crossovers and distances with REW. I expect some of you have done similar steps? Any tips out there? I’ll be moving my gear into a new room this weekend and starting to calibrate the system next week. Thanks

Thanks Yes that's correct, and probably a great addition for the Dirac FAQ. Some would say to let Dirac do all the work (instead of letting your SVS PEQ & REW get started), but I think there may be value to that (I was going to do it but decided not to). Certainly read the FAQ and report back in the Dirac thread how it goes, and lots of tips there. The Official Dirac Live Thread: Start w/1,2,3 🙋♂️

SVS PEQ and REW use relatively simple filters. So you can hear the story and then decide.

SVS PEQ and REW use relatively simple filters. So you can hear the story and then decide. Good recommendation, you convinced me to leave them alone and let Dirac do the work. With the newer SVS subs (like my 4000s) that have 'Presets', you could have an HT preset that was flat/uncorrected and then let Dirac do all the work. Then maybe a 'music' preset where you EQ'd the sub with REW or some other tool and either left the mains alone, or then tried Dirac on top of that. Unfortunately, SVS has chosen not to have a BT interface you could pair with a Harmony Hub, and only lets you select presets via IR or an App. The App can't be automated with other devices (nor can you change multiple subs simultaneously), and with multiple subs in various locations IR can be problematic, even with blasters. Because of this, selecting presets for me is unreliable to automate. I've implored them to swap the trigger input for wired IR, but haven't gotten much reception -- though they are otherwise VERY helpful.

Thanks to you both. My goal to use REW and/or PEQs in lieu of Dirac, simply to have Dirac do as little correcting as possible, Get the best results using placement and smoothing peaks using PEQs, then let Dirac clean it up form there. I have about another week or so until I get serious about room tuning but I’ll report back. Thanks

Yesterday, the RMC-1L was suddenly not able to provide any signal from my AppleTV 4K device. I switched then the AppleTV from HDMI output 1 to HDMI output 2 and it worked again. However, HDMI output 1 was stuck to DolbyVision 4K, no matter what source device I connected. No reboot, power off etc could help. I had to do a full factory reset and restore my backup to make it work again. It seems like the RMC-1L was somehow stuck in an error it could not fix without factory reset. I have no idea, why this was the case, after several months running fine.

The best settings are 4K SDR, with Match Frame Rate and Dynamic Range ON, then it will switch to the appropriate setting when needed (including DV). If it is set to DV, it will always output DV, regardless of the source. Edit: I missed that HDMI 1 was still DV even when the TV was in HDMI 2, that is odd. Did you try switching DV on and off on the TV while plugged into HDMI 1? Moot point if you did a reset.

Running into an issue with the XMC-2 that I didn't have with the XMC-1. I run with a phantom center. No issues with streaming TV. Playing an action BluRay, I set the volume for the vocals. Then when effects some on, the volume is much, much louder, to the point where I am riding the volume control. Turning off DTS:Neural X seems to help a little but not enough. Any ideas?

Need more info please. What is your system setup, including Small/Large channels, and subwoofer setup? What is the incoming audio stream? When the "effects" come on, is it the bass that is much too strong?

Subs are set to Dual (can't recall the term on the XMC-2, on the XMC-1 it was stereo) Dirac is enabled. Will do my best to describe it. Basically the overall volume of all channels is much higher, more than one would expect just with a typical explosion. The surrounds especially come on very hot, but trimming them down doesn't make a huge difference overall. The sub balance is in line with the rest of the speakers.

Dual Mono is when Left and Right Sub outputs are used. This is all helpful for setting up to try to duplicate what's going on. Dirac shouldn't affect something like what you describe. It's a DTS movie I'm assuming? I'll check it out.

A disadvantage of phantom center is being unable to set its level (unless you have something like a Theta) Thanks

Yes, I still had the center speaker connected, but I set it to None and sound came out. I think there were other specifics, like whether it always happened with multichannel or only with upmix. I'll try it again tomorrow and see if I can reproduce it. It isn't exactly these symptoms, but it points to something being amiss when there are surrounds but no center.
