In the XMC-2, you probably haven't changed the USB audio class to UAC2 (done by checking a box in the Menu/Setup/Advanced/USB Audio)
Read page 53 of the manual :oP
This affects what kind of USB device capabilities are reported to your computer. It defaults to the slower UAC1 for increased compatibility but you will only get the greater bandwidth by changing to UAC2

I did RTFM - and still got it wrong!! I somehow misread it that checking the box would regress the capabilities (or maybe I thought it was checked - screwed up either way!!)
So, that’s all sorted!
New issue.... I use Simple Control. I had the XMC-1 using a statically assigned DHCP address. The XMC-2 was getting a random addess, so Simple Control couldn’t find it.
I went to my network setup and assigned the new XMC the old IP (still via DHCP). Power cycled. Then everything went to hell.
The XMC-2 started to boot and I saw it get the new IP. When the blue progress Bar got to the “V” in Emotiva, the screen went black and nothing worked. I tried setting my server back to assigning a random address - same issue. No IP conflicts. The XMC-2 would just not boot completely. Each reboot seemed to get it a little further...
I tried holding the front button while powering on. This got the boot process further along, but very slowly. The Emo remote app wouldn’t control - but then it seemed to react after a few minutes.
I finally rebooted (holding front button) and just let it sit for a while (like some sort of major housekeeping was taking place and the XMC was just bogged down). It doesn’t want to pass video right away, but it does now boot and respond more quickly. It’s just not 100%
It seems like changing the IP (even through DHCP) caused some sort of massive database reset or something that bogged the XMC system until it completed.
Felt like troubleshooting Linux 25 years ago 😂
I’ll chime in if I see any further effects. Just weird!
Anyway - thank you for the kick in the head!!
