Hi All
I have and a first generation Emotiva XMC-1 which is still on its original version i.e 1.3.After 3 months off no use ,I switched on the processor and the and it got stuck on the boot screen.I ran the CEC test and it said "Serial loop back-failed",the rest passed.I unplugged the processor and left it for 2 days,but still have the same issue.Please advise on my options to fix the problem witout send the unit back as I live in South Africa

The CEC loopback failure would cause CEC and ARC to not work, but would not cause a total boot failure. There’s something more going on than just that.

Thank you for the feedback ,I have emailed Emotiva and waiting for there response ,hope its not to serious.

I wouldn’t expect to hear from them today. KeithL visits the lounge frequently, so it’s possible that he may be able to offer a suggestion. Good luck to you...
