Guys,
What type of storage do you guys have for records? I have about 30 LPs and maybe 50 UHD discs that I would like to find a shelf/cabinet for in my room. I am just looking for ideas and was wondering if any of you had pictures of your setups?

I built the upper cabinet about 20 years ago when we built the house. Added the lower one when we moved the piano just out of frame to the left. Just built the drawers at the bottom for UHD & Blu-rays a few weeks ago. There’s about every format you can imagine in there (no 8 tracks please), even an Edison cylinder.  |

View AttachmentVery nice what are the overall dimensions and what size wood. This is my next project and I am going to build it. It’s mostly 3/4” Cherry Plywood with edge banding. I think it’s about 4’ 6” wide, and each cabinet is 4’ tall (there are two you can distinguish by the wood aging — darker is older), so 4’6 x 8’ for the whole thing. It’s 14” deep because I didn’t want the albums coming right to the edge. I finish it with sprayed lacquer. |

KALLAX from IKEA are perfect! Shelf unit, 30 3/8x30 3/8 " Kallax worked perfect. I did the two drawers for the disc and a cabinet for the bottom row and put the records on top. A little rack just came in from Amazon that fits inside the cubby that hold the records up.  |

You know the only thing wrong with your new setup is that Damn Helmet! It even cheapens the IKEA Stuff!!
