Follow-up on the Ashly FTX-2001 "pro" power amplifier

This is a stereo "pro" power amplifier with Class-A driver stages and MOSFET output transformers. 300WPC @ 8Ohms / 475WPC @ 4Ohms / 550WPC @ 2Ohms. Damping factor out the wazoo. I disconnected the fan & left the top off the amp - runs cool now.

As it turns out, this amp was EXACTLY what the 8Ohm Klipsch Cornwalls needed in my room despite their 102dB / 1W / 1M sensitivity. The damping factor manhandled the 15" woofers into tight performance with good pitch definition, and the MOSFET output stage gave the Mid & HF Horns a touch of tube sound!

Since the Cornwalls liked the amp so much, I hooked up my 4Ohm Emotiva T2s. And HELLO! With the new Black Ice Audio tube DAC AND the Ashly amp in the system, I'm getting the best sound I've ever heard from the T2s! Tighter bass than my Heathkits, tighter bass and smoother treble than my Emotiva PA-1 amps. THIS is what I mean by "synergy" in audio components. This is now one sweet-sounding rig! Spent the afternoon listening to stuff I haven't listened to in awhile and it all sounded better than I remember.
