I am curious what you guys think? A used UMC-200 is available for $200. Will only use it for stereo music. My setup is Rotel 1080 (200wpc, solid state) amp, Klipsch RF7ii speakers, mostly Sonos connect and CD music. I would prefer to connect everything thru the DAC, coax and toslink. thanks

I would not get the UMC-200. I thought the PT-100 sounded much better for music. Personally if it was me I would get a used but still superb DC-1 DAC. You could probably get one of those for about $275-325. It's really an excellent sounding device. But the Pt-100 is pretty close.

PT-100 easily, I've owned both.

Thanks for the Great recommendations! I found a DC-1 on the local craigslist over the weekend, and WOW! What an improvement. I think I'm done with my system, for now... Thank again. Kirk
