I have a specific example of a setting that isn't remaining persistent between on and standby. Has anyone noticed something similar? The steps I follow are: - Start a show on my AppleTV with dolby TrueHD/Atmos (I used For all Mankind for this example).
- Wait for the RMC-1 to toggle and catch up to the picture and sound changes. Side note: If I try to enter the menu while the RMC-1 is adjusting picture/audio settings due to content changes, the RMC-1 will typically get sluggish and lock audio to PCM (with no output audio), and will not recover unless I perform a hard power down.
- Enter the menu system and apply "DRC Auto" in Main > Dolby Loudness Management > DRC Auto.
- Exit menu system, and continue to watch the show.
- Stop the show. place RMC-1 into standby (High power, or Video Always On).
- Turn on RMC-1. Play the same show (For all Mankind). Wait for RMC-1 to toggle video and audio modes.
- Review setting for Dolby Loudness Management. Observe setting is set to "DRC Off".

All settings made in the "Main Zone" menu (Dolby Loudness Management in your case) are temporary and are reset at power down.
From the owners manual...
"The Main Zone Menu contains the settings and controls typically used in the day-to-day operation of your RMC-1. These are settings that are typically chosen each time when viewing content; settings that remain in effect across multiple viewing sessions are accessed from the Setup Menu."
Since Dolby Loudness Management is not found in main Setup Menu, it cannot be set to "always on".

Well, at least "somebody" is reading the manual. I just reported it as a bug, oops. I'll un-report it. Thanks Doc. Where's the redfaced emoji?

I'll see if I can find an analougous setting elsewhere.

However, I just tried the same test with the "Loudness" setting under Main Zone, and this setting *is* persistent. I haven't found a similar setting for either Loudness or DRC in the Setup menu, so there appears to be a consistency issue around persistence (especially between a setting that has an easy-access button on the remote and another that does not).

Interesting... I don't have a simple answer for that one, so I will yield to a higher authority. Maybe KeithL can answer that for you.
