Looking for some help... not looking to spend thousands, but looking for a well built rack for my new audio gear. Found VTI, but I read mixed reports on quality. Haven't looked for a rack in years, so if you can lend a hand, I would appreciate it... Prefer wood, metal... just no glass. 3 shelves 40 - 46" wide 24" to 30" tall.

Love the looks of mine. I’ve purchased three sets and the quality is first class. Glass will hold anything you can put on them, even one of my 100 lbs XPR-1’s is no problem.

The last racks I bought were from Pangea and they are super well-built.

Sanus Euro rack combo. You can buy extra shelves and a few different height pillars.

Some more options; these are by SolidSteel... I would need 2 of the one in walnut.

Container store DIY Your DIY Container store rack would be 1/2 the size of this wider racks would be the 18x48 on the same page, $50 each shelf total cost: $40 + 80 (for 2 shelves) = $120
$40 + 120 = $160 (for 4 shelves)
The InterMetro shelves support up to 300 lbs per shelf.
Just have to convince your significant other not to put clothes or other things on your makeshift rack.
If you sign up for their newsletter, they will send a coupon for 15% off your first order making the 2 shelf project above $102 + tax or $136 + tax for 4 shelf
It could be considerably less if similar parts can be found at Costco or Home Depot

My wife is actually interested in an all wood rack, like those from Butcher Block Acoustics or TimberNation, but we can't find something that doesn't scare the credit card. LOL She actually called a few local woodsmiths and they were more expensive than anticipated. Great idea though...
