Hi, my HDMI output 2 is not working, is there a trick to enable it?? I should be able to unplug the (working) monitor from 1 and plug it into 2 and it should just work, no? I just get 'no signal" when plugging into 2 but 1 works fine.
XMC-1, non upgraded HDMI board
Thanks!

Yes, it "should" work. I have one computer monitor that doesn't respond when hot-plugging, but all my other monitors don't care. So maybe just try without the power being on.

Thanks, I gave it a shot, but still no luck :/

I've tried with both a Viewsonic LS820 Projector (HDMI 1.4) and an Asus VE228 LED monitor (HDMI 1.3).
I just get "no signal" on both, but both work when connected to HDMI 1 output. I have not yet tried cold swapping the HDMI on the projector, but will try it soon.I don't hold out much hope though :/

I would give Emotiva a call. Is it under warranty?

Just thought of something. HDMI-2 is ARC/CEC compliant, so it may be interacting with the monitors if something on the monitors or in the XMC-1 is set to operate in some way.
Check the XMC-1 Menu for HDMI CEC and see if anything is checked. To check everything, just to be sure, you'll need to Enable CEC to expose the rest of the CEC SubMenus. Uncheck everything except Enable, then uncheck Enable and arrow left out of Menu to "set" any changes.
You should also check the monitor settings for the same things. CEC really messes with stuff when it's allowed to.

CEC is pretty much a doddle and a pain. It works kind of. Best feature of CEC is the off feature. I never use it because it works so uniquely poorly. Should have never been an HDMI feature seeing how half baked it is. Should have left it in the oven and let it 🔥.

Thanks, I tried the CEC fix but everything was already unchecked. Thanks for the idea though!
