Looks like the A-300 doesn't offer auto power on based on sensing an incoming audio signal. I want it to power on when a signal arrives from an Airport Express. Any third party devices available to detect the audio signal and drive the switch circuit? Google search turned up a lot of the same requests, some DYI circuits but I didn't see any off the shelf solutions.
