So I heard (pardon pun) that Dolby ATMOS 4K content was available on Amazon, and went looking for it. Many people had suggested Jack Ryan Season Two, but recent updates (here and on other forums) report that (for some unspecified) reason this is no longer in ATMOS, and has now been downgraded to 5.1. Add to that the fact that I am in Canada and we have less streaming content than in the US for copyright reasons related to distribution rights, and I had to accept giving up on the idea of ATMOS and possibly 4K on Amazon prime.
So last night while looking for a movie to watch I stumbled across "The Aeronauts", an Amazon prime original, and I noticed it did say HDR, but the audio format logo was not present: no ATMOS logo, and no 5.1 logo. Figuring the only format left would be stereo, curiosity got me to press play and to my delight I got 4K HDR Dolby ATMOS! And even better.... it turned out to be an awesome movie, with plenty of height effects!
Thing is after hours of searching I've discovered there's plenty of HDR content, but this seems to be the only ATMOS program I have found on Amazon. If you found others please list them here, and also state what country you're in

OK you can add "Carnival Row" to that list (of Amazon Prime movies in 4K with ATMOS)

They're constantly breaking their app on one platform or another. I use both the ATV4K and the Nvidia Shield. The app on both platforms have been a mess for weeks. First no HDR, then no Atmos. Just this morning, they (Amazon) released an update for the Shield. Now, instead of Atmos (or even 5.1) I only get 2.0...

I have had that happen with Shield for Disney+... the fix is simple. Double press the circle button (apps) and go to the Amazon/Disney app, press cursor down, and press 'X'. This will force-close the app. Then wait a few seconds (about 5) and start the app again. Fixes it 9 of 10 times

With Amazon, some of their problems are "region specific", so I'll wait to see if something occurs on their server side to correct it. If not, then maybe one of the four or five patches they'll release next week will... Oh well... at least the ATV4K app is working... for now...

ATV4K on Shield? Must be region specific... I don't have access to that app on my Shield 2019

Doc1963, I agree, Amazon is almost there and as you stated "simply cannot seem to get their act together" With all of Bezos $Billions, he needs to get it right. (As a lefty would say, "Who needs that much money?") SPEND IT, FIX IT.
