Actually here's no difference in the Gen1 circuitry vs the Gen 2 except that the Gen 2 design was changed to surface mount. True this gives closer distances between components and may cause some measurement differences in favor of the Gen 2, but surface mount boards are almost impossible to repair. |

I can see why you would want an XSP but if you want an Emo pre with bass management, I have a USP-1 for sale. PM me if interested.
