I've been using the BasX-800 for surround duties for a few weeks now, and I'm happily confused as to why this amp refuses to heat up! It never gets warmer than room temperature, even after watching one of the most immersive movies I have that uses all of the surround and ATMOS channels almost for the entire movie - Bladerunner. I was expecting it to at least heat up a little because the XPA-200 gets very warm simply being on.
I figured this amp would be well within its capability to accomplish the task for which it was purchased, but frankly, it's able to provide for the need and more.
Since the amp runs "cold" this allows the processor to be placed directly on top. Think about this for a second, the perforations on the top of the amp actually allow for extra breathing space below the processor.
Anyway, the amp performs perfectly!

I totally agree with you, I run 4x of them bridged (for 16 channels of 100w). Absolutely beautiful amp.
