I recently purchased a PT 100 and could not be happier...BUT, today I learned that I cannot use my iPhone via the USB input to stream MQA files from Tidal through the DAC.
I want to take advantage of the DAC and, to the extent that it's possible, unfold the MQA files from Tidal
Any suggestions? I feel I'm not taking advantage of the DAC.
I've read about the BTR-1 and the BTM-1.
It seems that the BTR-1 would render better results to the extent it has a digital coax audio output that I can put in my PT-100, while the BTM-1 can only be connected through the specifically designated input (which offers lower audio resolution than the digital coax audio input).
My questions:
1. Is the difference negligible between both options? (I have a pair of Sonos Play 5s)
2. Is there any way in which I can take advantage of the DAC without the BTR or BTM?
3. Any other suggestion...I mean I'm glad with my purchase but frustrated that I cannot use the "fantastic DAC" that comes with the PT-100.
