BasX-300 UP in Smoke.! T-zero's tweeters fried. FIRE HAZARD

I was listening at low volume, as usually I do, while working on my desktop PC. setup: PT-100, BasX-300, T-zero's. all new from Emotiva.

I bought BasX-300 in 04/20, and T-zero's in 06/20, brand new from Emotiva. I had them setup earlier this month, with Pt-100, also new from Emotiva, I am using USB connection to PC.

Suddenly, the volume got crazy high, very annoying buzz, and WHITE SMOKE started to come out of the BasX-300. Horrible smell, gave me a headache immediately.

I unplugged the amp, smoke continued for about 30 seconds.

I Checked my T-zeros, and the tweeters are fried.....

Nothing else was damaged, all my outlets and other equipment continued to work normally. The Pt-100 normal still works great. I use Emotiva cmx-6, and it is still working fine, no burn, no smoke, nothing wrong with it or the equipment it is plugged to.

I emailed Emotiva for solution,...

I have many many Emotiva gear, never had an issue like this.

Has anyone had a similar problem, . Are my other Emotiva Amps and gear a fire hazard

The amp and pre are well ventilated, on open desk. i always listen at low volume. I am baffled.

What happened? Any ideas folks ?

I had the ribbon tweeter on one of my Stealth 6s shoot sparks out and fried.Sent it to emotiva for warranty repair. They have issues with there equipment from time to time.Just call on Monday and speak to techs.They will get u squared away.

this is for my casual, low level listening while working, at my home office. I keep the " good stuff" for my listening room.

NOT Emotiva.... but an amplifier once caught fire 🔥 literally right in front of me!
Most unforgettable.... I never moved so quick to pull it and get it out of my parents house before anything else happened.
AR Integrated amplifier....I was a teenager, barely with a drivers license.
It was brand new and incredibly, they did fix it.
My Dad picked it up from the store as I was 100 miles away at the time. Good thing..... I heard they were very angry with me!
