It's only funny if he doesn't get it. 
Note that many sellers post an inflated starting price because it provides incentive for people to make better offers. And, when he offers it next week for "half price - only $100", it will seem much more reasonable.
(Just like jewelry stores always seem to be selling diamond jewelry at "50% off"... )

I have one that I never used. Not sure if I will ever use it.

It works fine. But gotta warn you that it's very light so a heavy cable can topple it over

Ok, I found it! In my closet, of course. Most of my spare stuff is in the basement.
It's never been used and in it's original box. I'll take a couple pics and post when I get home.
I don't think I'll ever use it and I don't know what these are worth. It's the RCA version.
