Morning All, I managed to update my 13 year old projector to a new LED LG. I'm super happy with the performance out of my apple TV 4k, Nintendo Switch, and Kodi box, But now I'm experiencing some trouble with my BluRay.
I can get picture, but no sound. I think the key is to disable ARC, but I the MC-700 won't let me. I think this is the culprit as my new PJ hinted that it was looking for a ARC connect with the MC-700 and created a new profile for it.
this is with an old SONY BD-BX38. I've disabled the secondary sound on it. It was working fine with my old Optoma PJ (720). and was able to output beautiful DTS-Master quite amazingly.
It seems the MC-700 is just really finicky. All cables are good and are 8K monoprices.
Of course I don't really NEED my bluray up and running, but it would be a shame not to re-visit my collection. Happy Thanksgiving to all me Canuck colleagues!
P.S. I'm about to try a whole reset on the MC-700

ok..that wasn't too hard. I figured out my Bluray was on Firmware circa 2003. Updated. Sound is back in all its glory. Case closed.
