I purchased my TA-100 around three years ago and have had no issues until now. The output (or input) ceases to function after a few hours of continuous use.
Say for instance I've been on Bluetooth or optical when it cuts out I can then switch to Tuner and the speakers will output static, but no other inputs will generate any noise from the amp. If I then turn off the amp and/or unplug it for a few hours and then turn it back on it will function properly again for a seemingly random amount of time. I've visually looked inside for dust/hair to try to see if maybe it's overheating, but I can't see any issues there. It's on a hard surface not near other equipment and has good airflow. Anyone had a similar issue?

Does sort of have the feel of something getting Too Warm. If you are sure you are OUT of warranty, unplug for an hour than pop the case open for a look. A big ball of lint or cat hair in absolutly the wrong place MIGHT do it. Next up (for me) would be a cold solder joint, which you'll play hobbs finding. Techs have a few tricks, maybe even a can of 'cold' air to 'shock' a part or connection. If you are still under warranty, that being 3 years? DO NOT mess with it, but rather send 'er off to EMO for a look. And as it turns out, depending on the fixed cost of repair? You may consider selling for 50$ to someone who will pay the fee THAN have a good unit while you move on, maybe be UP scale somehow. Since this is a receiver, something like the Outlaw RR2160 would provide a useful power increase AND perhaps some additional features. Outlaw made the Previous verions, the RR2150 for maybe a decade so they will not toss you under the bus for the sake of 'new'. www.soundandvision.com/content/outlaw-rr2160-stereo-receiver-reviewThe stereo receiver is a vastly Under Rated category.
