Besides the obvious full range frequency of the Stealth 8, can somebody give their opinion on sound characteristics of the LS50 in comparison to the Stealth 8? I'm still in love with the 8s, but really curious about the Kefs. People seem to be drooling over them, but I assume they've never heard the 8s.

Well I haven't heard the stealth 8 but I found the LS50 lacking in comparison to the rest of the Airmotiv line.

The stealth will pound much harder and will sound like a much bigger speaker (in terms of volume output before distorting). The Kef's are a completely different and excel in vocals, jazz, imaging + sound stage is incredible. Some guys do 5/7 surround with them, which I don't think they're necessarily the best speaker for. But 2 channel classical music, and a very powerful amp at 4 ohms, they will open up and blow your mind. Kef (in general) excels in that upper treble range, guitar pick's and anything that requires pin point accuracy. The LS 50 is also completely "dead" on the cabinet, it's like knocking your fingers on concrete. They also look stunning, something Emotiva hasn't figured out yet (probably due to intended price point), but the WAF on the LS 50 is quite high. The Stealth is probably the safer speaker, does almost everything really well.
So completely different speakers for different jobs.
