I haven't received my A-100 yet, but I understand it has 2 RCA output jacks. I have just bought a used subwoofer that has 4 bare lead connectors labelled "speaker level" and a single RCA labelled "line level". What's the recommended way to connect these two?

The "Speaker Level Inputs" are for connection from the Speaker Outputs of a one or two channel amplifier. Using this type of connection is instead of using the "Line Level" connection on the subwoofer. Do not use the Speaker Level and Line Level inputs on the subwoofer at the same time!!!! They both go through the sub's crossover. The Speaker Level connection method is not (typically) for speakers set as SMALL in the processor. If the subwoofer does not have a LFE Input AND you need to use the subwoofer for Bass Management for all speakers set to SMALL, then the choice is easy - use the Line Level Input and connect to the processor.
