Are you saying that your Ulberfeits only tackle 300 hz and up?! No, never said that ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) The Ulfs play down to 16hz for accurate detail during musical playback. However, during movie playback such as "Danger Close" concerning heavy artillery I find the overall spl down low lacking. Not to mention there's the inability to playback the chopper's whirling blades in Black Hawk Down during the Irene scene. In the Irene scene the whirl of the Black Hawk's blades play down at 8hz. I'm thinking I could run: Dual 21" up to 60-80hz Dual 4-10s from 50-60hz up to round 200-250hz [at this moment dual 4-10s play from 20hz to 80hz]. That in my mind ought to really replicate heavy percussion during movie scenes in a 24x24x12 ft listening space. When the big guns began firing in Danger Close [trailer 1 minute 4-7 seconds] I want enough volume to launch viewers out their seats running for cover! Something tells me you are not exagerrating in the least. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) !!

Must have major room issues. All those subs seem like major overkill in that small space. Most visitors would be more impressed with a bigger monitor .

Must have major room issues. All those subs seem like major overkill in that small space. Most visitors would be more impressed with a bigger monitor . Maybe the room has issues. W/ the major overkill subs in the small space I haven't seen above 128.4db as of yet from the main listening position [9 ft in front of soundstage]. I'm hoping to do another spl test this coming weekend after having rethought out my dsp configuration regarding crossovers. I quit my spl test last week when I could hear audible distortion coming from the center channel above 128.4db. My db meter only goes to 130db so that'll be the extent of the test. As to why I'm using smaller but an absurd multiple number of drivers ck out this video: What size screen do you recommend from nine feet viewing distance? www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship

Rtings.comThe Rtings guide, link above, is quite helpful. I have a 75" and for a "cinematic experience" a seating distance of 7.5' is recommended, 10.2' for mixed usage viewing. Edit. Couldn't get the link to the correct page to work. Once on rtings.com, search for TV Size to Distance Calculator.
