The T2’s are warranted for 5 years. “Blowing” a driver is typically considered misuse by any manufacturer and wouldn’t be covered by warranty. However, in any case, you should contact Emotiva directly to hear what they have to say.

Replacement drivers shouldn't be too expensive.

What type of event or activity have you experienced that would blow a speaker? Not easy to do, but it can be done.

Not familiar with the T2, however, if those suspect drivers are wired in series, more than likely ONLY ONE has blown.

The T2 has only a single midrange driver per cabinet. The ribbon tweeters are tough, but I'm surprised they didn't blow too... What amp were you driving the speakers with? I bet it was clipping (if the drivers are truly blown)... Are the tweeters still playing or is everything above the woofers mute? If the latter, check the metal JUMPERS between the terminals on the backs of the speakers. Those little gold-plated sheet-metal strips are supposed to be connected between the two vertical red terminals and another between the two vertical black terminals. If the nuts aren't tight on those jumpers, they have a tendency to become intermittent or to not make contact at all - then the owner thinks that the midrange/tweeters are blown when it's really only a matter of the jumpers not making contact. I found a VERY good pair of speakers on a trash pile one time and found that the tweeters weren't blown at all - just the jumpers had come loose! If checking the jumpers fixes your speakers, you can owe me an adult beverage some time! If not, sigh, then you'll need to contact Emotiva for troubleshooting & replacement parts. If the drivers really ARE blown, you might want to check the crossover too... Best of luck with it - Boomzilla

I thought this thread was titled "both my MINDS are blown."

I was using a Yamaha PRO amp and it wasnt clipping. it has meters on it and they hadnt even started moving yet barely it has lights for clipping and they were not on . I also have a SVS 12inch powered sub that also wasnt showing it was clipping. it will do 440rms @ 8ohms if its going full power but its never been at full power...I have boxes that turn RCA into XLR and boost the voltage into the amp with plenty of voltage so I dont have the gains set high on the amp...and again....the light indicators for power didnt reach that point. I just checked and now the one that was making noise last night is not BUT when I touch it and push it slightly it comes alive. The other one which I didnt know about must have died some other time. I bought these refurbed and I dont recall if I verified all drivers worked when I got them.
I dont know if blown is correct word but they are not working.
I dont know how these things are designed but both tweets are fine and all the bass drivers are fine. its just the mids and 1 is half working but now only when I move the cone.

A mid blown in each cab., or a “mind” blown as another speculated?! Bill

I dont know how these things are designed but both tweets are fine and all the bass drivers are fine. its just the mids and 1 is half working but now only when I move the cone. Well THAT'S not good news. It means that the midranges ARE getting power but that maybe the coils are dragging so badly that they don't want to move or else maybe there's some loose physical debris between the frame and the cone. If the speakers were mine, I'd get out a screwdriver & pull both the midrange drivers. Be sure to mark with a felt-tip on the back of the drivers which wire goes where! Then look for debris inside the speaker frame. If you find any, remove it. No debris? Put the driver by your ear and lightly press the cone in and out with your fingers. Hear anything dragging (sounds like "scritch-scritch" when the cone moves)? The voice coil is dragging on the magnet & you'll need a replacement driver. No debris AND no dragging? Test the resistance across the + and - terminals of the disconnected driver. If you get zero resistance, the driver is shorted. If you get infinite resistance, the driver is blown. Any other value should be compared with the other driver - they should be the same. Not? At least one is damaged. This may save some shipping cost when you contact Emotiva for repair. OTOH - they may tell you that you having pulled the driver voided your warranty! So talk to Emotiva first. Finally, even if the drivers are damaged - it may not be Emotiva's fault. If the shipper drop-kicked the speaker off the loading dock (and they often DO such things), it may well be shipping damage. How can you tell? Was the outer box smushed on any sides or corners? Best option - Call Emotiva and politely explain the situation. They'll take care of it.

ive already emailed them so I am sure they will email me back. they already sent me a automated reply so their is a ticket started.
I lightly pushed on both and cant really hear or feel any drag. the one will play but stops when I quit touching it or soon after. the other does nothing at all.
I usually turn down the highs but I am surprised I didnt notice the dead driver sooner

Let us know what they say.

I called yesterday and talked to someone on phone. after a brief wait he came back and told me they would send me 2 new mids and I could swap them if I was able which is easy. He said it was weird the mids went but the tweets did not...why is that? and he said if they quit again it would be suspect that I had some kind of electrical issue...
I did have one issue...that was with my PT-100 preamps popping when turning on....lol....would that qualify? I no longer have the PT but I am sure I will again one day.
since all this I have reduced the pieces in my system to basic needed parts and no high power pro amps in it either.
