Yeah, photos of a before and after would be great. I have my Stealth 6s in a box cuz one of the units doesn’t work. Been planning to make it passive.
Your pathfinder adventure will serve many owners like me.
Thanks!

It is a standard class AB amplifier with a linear power supply in it. Don’t really think there is anything really exotic inside. Schematic and parts list makes life easier.

Yes.....You bet....NO tricks in the amp. But when I look at the control panel of the amp? Appears to have some crossover / boost / cut functions. Maybe call it a poor-mans DSP of some flavor?

I have 8 spare Emotiva PA-1's so could have made good use of them.

Thanks. I’ll download those photos and let you know when I attempt to fix mine, probably closer to early December after I fix my snowblower in November.:-)

It really isn't very hard so long as you don't mind destroying the existing Emotiva board to get it out of the housing :-). And they do sound *great* with the PA-1 amps. This is a Stealth8 though, so the housing is bigger. I'm not sure the board will fit as easily in a Stealth6. I already junked my Stealth 6's before I learned how to do this, so lost the chance to experiment. Plus the tweeter in one of my 6's had the heat damage so I'm not sure how good it would have sounded anyway.

You guys deserve some recognition for getting this ball rolling in a way MOST people who can read should be able to duplicate.....
You Might have started a whole cottage industry of people digging into an otherwise useless speaker IF and AS they fail.....
I suspect the drivers should outlive the OEM amp......than it's up to YOU....

I also have a pair of Stealth 8’s. One of them stopped working, so I contacted the factory. I got the same story. They no longer work on out-of-warranty equipment. They told me up front that they wouldn’t work on them, regardless if I was willing to pay. My problem now is finding someone in the continental US that still works on electronics (Emotiva did mention someone in Massachusetts that “might” give them a look). I live in Alabama and found one individual—a couple of hours away--who was willing to check it out. He attempted to contact Emotiva and got very little response from them either. But at least they did provide a schematic that he used in his diagnosis. In the end, he attempted to replace a couple of capacitors (which didn’t fix the issue) and then told me to come pick it up. If anyone knows of a reputable repair shop (preferably in the SE due to the cost and potential danger of damage) in the southeast US, I’d appreciate knowing about them.
Thanks. Scott Turner

Scott Turner Just buy the x-over board and use an external amp. Seriously, you won't regret it. I've done the 3 times now (with 3 more Stealths to fix) and they sound great !
