Still digging through the hundreds of options on my new MC-700. I can't find how to set the volume when it turns on. My Marantz AVR could do this and it was extremely useful so I didn't have to worry about where it was last left and having sound come blasting out. It's even more of an issue with the Emotiva since it takes a long time to power up and start outputting video and audio. I could fake it with the power-on sequence using my Harmony remote but that would be an ugly hack.
Thanks for any help!

In the Manual on Page-16: "When the MC-700 is turned on, it always returns to same Input and Volume setting as when it was turned off. If you turn the MC-700 off while it is in the Setup Menu, when you turn it on it will start up in normal operating mode."
Apparently, there's no Menu setting for Turn-On Volume or Turn-On Input like there is on the XMC or RMC models.

And, it's not like it would take any extra parts - just a firmware feature.
