Show this review to that "other" guy who doesn't know how to use the English language without stuttering f bombs. This reviewer does it right.

Great review: The SE12 is intriguing to me and i'm sure a huge upgrade from my little 60 watt Energy 8" sub. But i'm wondering if i'll be ok with 28hz as the low point. Would like to get fairly low for movies but have a good punch too.

Would like to get fairly low for movies but have a good punch too. I own a number of excellent Emo products including speakers. I'm sure the SE12 is an excellent sub for general use, but at $400, 46lbs and a spec at 28Hz/-3dB, 200 Watt RMS, I think you might tend to be disappointed for low end movie/LFE bass performance. In the Emo line the 86lb, $1600, Airmotiv RS13 at 16/21 Hz/-3dB would do the job and an excellent job at that! RS13: Audiophile quality, efficient, cool-running, Class D amplifier. Power: 1000 watts RMS continuous. (click and note output at 16-25Hz. 101.6-109.2 dB's)

BTW: Reviewer above is very correct about removing the bass below (80Hz usually my choice) from the main speakers by whatever method. This prevents the doubling of the bass below 80Hz thru both the sub and also the mains (a big no-no). I love my many Emo products but wish they offered a sub between the $400 SE12 and the $1600 RS13 (quite a wide price jump there). Sub bass below 80Hz cannot be located by the listener. If you run more than one sub, filter them both mono at 80Hz and below. Leave frequencies above 80Hz to your main speakers only.

I will say I love Zeo's reviews for the sheer entertainment. I also love Nema's concise and direct reviews like this one and we will now call the SE12 the Camry of subwoofers.

For me, it's not even the language itself so much as the rambling nature of it. I can't stand the constant shaky camera whipping around constantly!!!! Stop moving your head Zeos!! You could get a more steady camera shot by strapping a cam to a dog running around. And do some edits, cut some time out of the long vids.

He drops multiple videos a week and sometimes multiple videos a day on products and keeps a steady backlog of stuff. Doing a single take from a POV on his reviews is the easiest way to do it so he can shoot multiple videos a day without much editing. These channels rely heavily on constant content being released. There is a reason he has 200K+ subscribers versus someone like Nima who releases a video every 3-5 weeks who only has less than 2,000 subs.

Zero excuses IMO for posting very unprofessional videos, with shaky fire hosing camera work and filled with the f-word. How about someone between Zeos and Nima who shoots and releases a reasonable number of videos a week with proper editing and good handheld and tripod support and has still has a good number of subscribers. Too much to ask? Zeos' reviews are worthless to me.

The RS13 would be awesome, but way above my budget plus my wife wouldn't be happy with this huge box in the living room. I want to go dual subs so at $400 we're looking at $800ish zone which im ok with. Or perhaps a single boss sub for around $800ish. SVS is still on top of my sub list, dual SB or PB-1000's are <$1000 and on paper seem to be a bit closer to what im wanting although above budget. Also thought of getting a single SB3000 but not sure yet also above budget. Lots on my mind just doing research.
You said you own Emo speakers, do you have their Vaulta's?

Joshua Valour and my friend Andrew Robinson are two where I find the presentation perfect and they release quite a few videos a week.

No, I don't do in ceiling speakers. My rear surrounds are the older but amazing Emo ERD-1's. They are up high on my rear wall and sound great for normal surround and also overhead sounds.
