So I have a oppo 203 and I got a xmc-2. So not sure if this is a dumb question or bug in the processor, but why when I play 4k blurays using my oppo on the front of the xmc-2 it says the correct audio being played but it says 1080p/24 8bits when I'm watching a movie. Even though it is a 4k movie with 10bit hdr encoded.
Is it because 4k uhd movies are native 1080p upscales?
The player info shows its outputting 2160 Dolby vision, but the xmc-2 shows 1080p 8bit SDR.
I've adjusted the player to output 2160 but xmc-2 stays at 1080p.
When I play my ps4pro at 2160 it DOES show its in 4k on the xmc-2.. im lost and need help. I can't get help from oppo since they don't exist anymore. Please shine some light.

Scratch that.. I figured out the problem.. im using separate hdmi cables for my oppo.. hdmi video(going straight to tv) and audio only( going to xmc) so the xmc is picking up info from my "audio cable" instead of the video which is going straight to the TV instead of the xmc.
