In our basement I have set up a small 2ch system. Primarily this TV gets used to watch exercise videos or movies while on the elliptical. Also music occasionally, but far less than the others. The gear I have there doesn't suck, but I'm thinking my Rega DAC is not well suited to TV listening.
The TV is setup to output 2ch PCM via optical and I have a Roon Endpoint giving me either USB, Coax or Optical.
What Dacs or DAC chips are well suited to TV listening? Don't think I'd want to go expensive, thinking like Topping D10s (Sabre DAC), Schiit Modi 3 or Modius (AKM Dac). Maybe a used XDA-2?
Any thoughts or anyone doing this now?
My amp is a Naim Nait 5si and speakers Dali Zensor 3. Yeah, I should sell the amp and get something like the TA-100 (actually not the worst idea).

A PT-100 would serve you well. I prefer it over my XDA-2 Gen 2. nice sound, inexpensive, with lots of options for connections.
