just hooked up a new MC700 running 3.1.3. Enabled video on stand-by. While watching my TV (Dish sat box on HDMI-1, and a non-4K tv), if I switch off the MC700 the video continues to play, but there is no pass-thru audio at all. Went back into the menu under Setup, Options, and changed the HDMI audio out from Amplifier to TV. that gives me bypass audio but then it is still using the TV speakers when I turn the MC700 back on. 
Is there no OSD on the MC700? Any actions I take on the remote are only shown on the unit's LCD panel, nothing on screen. This interface is a big step backwards from the UMC200.
I have the HDMI Out on #2 since I don't have an ARC setup.
I thought this pre-pro was a step up from the UMC200 but so far I'm not impressed.
