I've used Tidal before, but have no experience with Qobuz. A vendor is asking me to review their streamer and for the length of the review will provide a Qobuz subscription. I understand that I won't be needing to use the Qobuz interface, since the streamer and its software will support Qobuz in the streamer's native interface.
So I'm ignorant (surprise, surprise)! What do I need to know about Qobuz?
Thanks - Boomzilla

Good sound quality, somehow difficult app. sounds better then Spotify, will show u res used with your equipment and you can change it. learning curve with their software, steep !

And if you use Roon, Qobuz is fully integrated just like local music files. I've been a subscriber since it first became available in the US.

So most of here at the company got free premium accounts which we would have to reactivae every quarter. When it came time to reactivate them after the first run through, most of us didn't.
The sound quality is great and the interface "looks" nice but is terrible in real world use. So much easier to just use Tidal and Amazon HD Music.

I agree with DYohn, I use Qobuz with Roon. Qobuz will also allow you purchase music.

I did trials of both Tidal and Qobuz. I preferred Qobuz actually, but I don't pay for either.
You should definitely try Qobuz.

I subscribed to Qobuz for several months perhaps a year, but just didn't use it enough to justify continuing to pay for it. Qobuz is integrated with Audirvana on my Mac Book Pro and yes it sounds great. While others have complained about the UI it didn't bother me in the least and found it easy enough to use and navigate, however I have not used Tidal or Amazon Prime so take this with a grain of salt. You can also pay for and download albums at reduced prices compared to other online venues such as HD Tracks. I will add this, the Qobuz stand alone app on my MBP does not perform as well as the integration with Audirvana. The stand alone app being a bit "flatter" sounding and not quite as alive as when integrated with Audirvana. Your opinion might differ however.
Effectively its a great program if you are in to streaming audio in this manner. For what ever reason I just can't seem fall in love with the streaming concept. It is a great way to discover lots of new good music though if you have the patience to work through it.

The major benefit of Qobuz over Tidal is up to 192 resolution. Tidal and Qobuz make a powerful duo through Roon.
