Hey there, back when i first got my XMC-1 there was a feature request thread, I don't see one for the XMC-2 with a few searches, so i thought i would establish one. If this already exists, feel free to link me and ill rm this
My setup is pretty basic, I have a nvidia shield as the input to my xmc-2. Currently, when i turn the shield off, it will turn off the XMC-2, but the processor doesn't forward along the power off command to the TV. This was the same behavior with the XMC-1, so theres no regression, but it would be nice if all my devices turned on and off with one remote.
I could see some complication if there are multiple devices connected (say, a shield and a game console), where one device turning off that you aren't actively using would cause the display to turn off as well, but i think it would be fairly intuitive if only the active device turning off passed along the power off to the display.
---
also, so im not making multiple threads, it would also be amazing if you could select an input button to use audio from one hdmi port, but the video from another. I don't know if this is a limitation of the hdmi switching on the XMC, but currently when changing the audio input to use, you only have the option of the current display HDMI, as well as the various other analogue / digital inputs on the back. I have to keep my game console connected directly to the TV so that i can have the XMC playing audio from my shield, and then switch the input on the TV to the game console with the volume set at 0. It would be amazing if i could assign an input button on the remote so that it passed the video from the game console HDMI port, but used the audio from the shield's HDMI port.

On my wishlist will be: 1. DTS-X Pro support 2. Auro 3D support 3. more flexibility of changes after Dirac measuremnts. (changing of distance and PEQ like the Monolith HTP-1) 1&2 are my biggest wishes for a christmas update ;-)

Reliability, reliability, reliability.
1. No connection mishaps. 2. Reliable network Firmware Update. Any form of bricking is a complete failure.
Features? I’d actually be willing to forego a current feature in order to get more reliability: On Screen Menu Displays. Just be a pure pass through HDMI switch, extracting the Audio.

1. DTS-X Pro support 2. Auro 3D support (demands or not, I still hoping it should be supported, I want to use it for upmixing concert/music.) 3. more flexibility of changes after Dirac measurement. 4. small storage internally set for emergency reset (incase bricking from firmware update or similar sort) 5. server update support instead of USB. 6. a complete refresh of menu would be nice but solve existing bugs first

On my wishlist will be: 3. more flexibility of changes after Dirac measuremnts. (changing of distance and PEQ like the Monolith HTP-1) Changing distance after running Dirac is not there for a reason - it won't result in improved anything. Dirac filter creation has compensating for the actual at-microphone measured delays of sound reaching it from the various speakers and the reflections of those speakers. Impulse response and time alignment of every speaker is part of the filter generation. You will not be able to do a better job than the Dirac filter creation software has done for you! If you move a speaker manually, you need to remeasure. Same with adding PEQ onto Dirac. You won't be able to improve anything better than what is decided for you by Dirac. Sure, you can add "colouration" to the sound to make it a less good fit to a target curve, but I guess you could use the Tone controls for that too!

1. DTS-x support. 2. Re-mapping of speakers such that I can keep 3 subs & 6 atmos by giving up 2 wides. Xbox One S gives message Your audio receiver must support DTS X for home theater to use this setting. Check your manufacturer's instructions for more info. OBObcf0949)

OBObcf0949) Maybe I'm not understanding, but all three of the Gen3 processors already do support DTS:X. DTS:X "Pro" has not yet been implemented, but " Pro" only adds expansion beyond 11 channels within the core and expands Neural X upmixing. Otherwise, it's the same DTS:X. Do you have your Xbox plugged directly into your processor or to your TV with audio back to the processor using ARC...? If the latter, your TV may not support DTS (even on "pass-through"). Some of them now don't.

I would use this feature for my DBA because Dirac can‘t setup a DBA. If I have the possibility to change distances and the PEQ I would not need an external DSP ;-)

I have several Blu-Rays that contain DTS:X audio tracks that play without problem through both of my disc players. Ripped content also plays fine via Plex on my Nvidia Shield. So with those three devices passing DTS:X through to my RMC-1L (and my RMC-1L successfully decoding it), I would point the finger at the Xbox. Maybe a configuration misstep or an app that needs to be loaded (like with Atmos).

I was just reporting that I receive the same error.

so i guess we've to reflect this to emotiva and microsoft perhaps? that the xbox is not capturing it correctly or gen3 didn't send out proper acknowledgement.

Dont have a xbox 1s but a quick google shows it has trouble sending out a straight encoded codec bitstream without having to remux subsidiary sounds with a lpcm conversion .. answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/xba_console/bitstream-setting-why-forced-to-choose-dts-or/81129277-1570-4cc3-b1d4-d67a65e9fd2fI would have much more trust in a player that is designed to switch on auto to the correct bitstream ; also wonder how things go with atmos metadata which has to be piggybacked on the bitstream not on any converted lpcm

Ability to run dual subwoofers in stereo. That would be great. Dual mono just doesn't sound as integrated.

Before, I had a choice of Atmos or the normal options, the DTSX for Home theaters is new. I have also been able to get DTS from blu ray pass thru, but this appears to be something different. I didn't even bother to check for an app. But, after installing the app, I still get the same issue. For whatever reason, the Xbox will not activate dts:x with the G3P. I'm not finding many posts with anyone else having this issue.

I wanted to clarify on this... my shield was set up to use IR for power, when i thought i initially set it up just for vol +/-. after switching to CEC it is behaving as expected and turning the TV off too... still would like support for different HDMI selections on audio though

Xmc2 1. DTS-x pro 2. More flexibility in re-mapping of the speakers 3. Auro 3d 4. Update for the app it's more reliable since the remote control is buggy hit or miss 5.

I see a lot of request for DTS-X pro. Is this more for upmixing of DTS-X tracks? Since I think current DTS-X Pro content is very limited. Although I would also like future support for it.
