I see a lot of request for DTS-X pro. Is this more for upmixing of DTS-X tracks? Since I think current DTS-X Pro content is very limited. Although I would also like future support for it. DTS:X Pro supports more objects and expands beyond the current 11 channel limit of (non-Pro) DTS:X and Neural X. So, yes, with Emotiva's processors being 16 (plus) channels, this is desirable addition.

Reliability, reliability, reliability. 1. No connection mishaps. 2. Reliable network Firmware Update. Any form of bricking is a complete failure. Features? I’d actually be willing to forego a current feature in order to get more reliability: On Screen Menu Displays. Just be a pure pass through HDMI switch, extracting the Audio. Casey You must be under 50.... us older folks need the on-screen display to see what's going on.

My equipment rack will be in a different room, so OSD is a must for me.

Noe, actually I'm 61. Rather than an On Screen Menu, I'd rather use something like an iPad application. The idea of an On Screen Menu System is nice certainly, but getting it to work with every single HDMI Format is a nightmare. Unless of course the On Screen Menu System just takes over the entire screen and drives it in its own format rather than transparencies, etc.

Built in Bluetooth would be nice. I just installed the btr-1 on my rmc1l and can't get audio to play via analog or opt. Waist of money. I want to be able to stream tidal without having to hook up my phone or laptop physically to unit.

Then I’m not sure what the Xbox is looking for. I have several Blu-Rays that contain DTS:X audio tracks that play without problem through both of my disc players. Ripped content also plays fine via Plex on my Nvidia Shield. So with those three devices passing DTS:X through to my RMC-1L (and my RMC-1L successfully decoding it), I would point the finger at the Xbox. Maybe a configuration misstep or an app that needs to be loaded (like with Atmos). I agree that it seems to work with everything else. No clue what the issue is. I was just reporting that I receive the same error. You need to install dts decoder app on xbox. Mine works flawless on rmc1l

You should be able to stream from your phone. What am I not understanding?

Xmc2 1. DTS-x pro 2. More flexibility in re-mapping of the speakers 3. Auro 3d 4. Update for the app it's more reliable since the remote control is buggy hit or miss 5. I see a lot of request for DTS-X pro. Is this more for upmixing of DTS-X tracks? Since I think current DTS-X Pro content is very limited. Although I would also like future support for it. As someone has mentioned it doesn't limit dts-x it's expand it more hence the 16channels with xmc if you don't the wide chanel and the neural up mixer is updated also. And would like to add another feature 6. Web user interface it's alot easier than looking through the menu

While there is very limited if any actual DTS-X Pro material, it is the upmixing I guess most people are looking for.

Additional XLR Board (Balanced IN). (Please ADD 2 pair of them to the Board) DAC Upgrade Board DTS-x Pro (nice if it would come)
Others? I'm happy with the RMC-1

I agree that it seems to work with everything else. No clue what the issue is. I was just reporting that I receive the same error. Perhaps I'm confused on what it does. This was recently released and is new in the audio settings portion. Before, I had a choice of Atmos or the normal options, the DTSX for Home theaters is new. I have also been able to get DTS from blu ray pass thru, but this appears to be something different. I don't know if it's an enhancement to DTS codec or simply something provided to Microsoft vis DTS to use for stuff from the box itself. Engadget -DTS:X for home theater comes to Xbox Onefrom Forbes: "The integration of the DTS:X for Home Theater system on the Xbox will create a DTS:X bitstream compatible with all DTS:X AVRs and soundbars. The bitstream will render, too, to the full speaker layout capability of the supported DTS:X AVR or soundbar, and there won’t be any performance difference between movie of gaming content." www.forbes.com/sites/johnarcher/2020/09/14/xbox-one-gets-one-more-great-new-featureand-the-series-x-is-getting-it-too/?sh=758de6d23f46dts.com/sound-unbound/faqSending an email to DTS for further insight. BTW: "FAQ | DTS:X FOR HOME THEATER ON XBOX What is DTS:X for Home Theater? Once installed, select DTS:X for Home Theater as your bitstream format in Xbox system audio settings. You’re ready to go!" View AttachmentDug a bit deeper and got a response from DTS...see if our FAQ addresses your question w/link. It didn't immediately, but I noticed "e-ARC" in there a few times - specifically, AV receiver must be capable of eARC. Forwarded to Emotiva to confirm what I thought I knew already and confirmed the XMC-2 doesn't have eARC. I suspect this is hardware functionality and not upgradable via software enhancement down the road, but that wasn't made clear in the response. The Emotiva email suggested that DTS-X Pro could become available by the end of the year - know you board members too well - I inferred this year and not 2022 or 2025. I'd gladly welcome DTS:X Pro on my current 7.3.4 setup along with improvments it might yield beyond NeuralX. Getting first Pfizer shot 4/9...wish me luck. If I get stuck at home over the weekend, I may update firmware, Dirac and tweak system.

Yes.... eARC is a hardware feature/capability of HDMI 2.1 . (So all HDMI 2.1 devices support it - as will our HDMI 2.1 video card when it is available.)
However eARC is not a part of the HDMI 2.0 standard.
The only exception would be products whose HDMI switch hardware was actually at least partially "HDMI 2.1 capable"... In which case it's not unreasonable to expect that it might be accessed via a firmware update. (Specifically... the HDMI 2.0b switches we currently use do NOT support eARC.) I hope you will consider:
1. Ability to disable OSD for volume changes independent from other OSD. 2. Ability to change settings through web or App as the slow single item menu navigation is cumbersome and I overshoot values all the time.

Hi. I would love more than two speaker presets in the XMC-2. In my setup, I have both stereo and multichannel. In the latter, I have two subs and the third sub is dedicates to shakers connected to my cinema chairs. I would love to have an option (i.e. speaker preset) so when I am listening to multichannel music, no shaker is enabled. But when watching movies, I would like the shakers to be active (lovely feeling).

Agree was hoping mostly that stability and quicker UI operation had appeared. Especially boot time and no lag during menu operation. Make this feel it's price.
Also agree older posts from others re retaining some OSD with all future updates. Would definitely be a deal breaker for me to lose this.
Though maybe at least keep onscreen volume and current full status info, if full menu etc too hard? Anthem and many others have managed this, especially going with advanced network style setup etc. Good combo. Maybe the move to the new 8k board and attached updates G4 can really take things up a few levels (even if the cost to do this will sting, especially overseas owner's). These processors deserve really impressing, and still do sound awesome 👍
