I currently am in the long overdue process of upgrading my system. The start of summer finally upgraded from my DMC-1 to the flagship RMC-1 and added the Airmotiv E1+ for rear surrounds moving up to 7.1. Yesterday replaced my MPS-1 with the XPA-7 Gen3 as well as my Paradign Monitor 11 v4’ mains with T2+ and the Paradigm CC-370 center with the C2+ and awaiting a pair of E2+ to replace my Paradigm ADP-370 di-pole surrounds.
My next step is to replace the E1+ rear surround with theE2+, add another XPA-7 Gen 3, and turn my current surrounds into height surrounds since they are mounted near the ceiling due to space constraints at the time of installation as well as spousal factor and getting either the T0 or T1+ for my main and rear surrounds. My question is I know the 0’s are probably more then enough but in my wanting to cover all my bases are leaning towards the T1+’s to err on the side of caution. That and bigger is always better, right?!?
Would appreciate any opinions and or thoughts on the subject.
Thanks,
Tom

Most surrounds are bookshelf equivalents, so both will work great. I doubt you'd hear a difference but go with the ones that will give you the long term satisfaction. If your gut wants you to go big, go with it, otherwise you'll always be second guessing yourself. Pride of ownership should win out if $$ aren't really an issue and audio is equal.

Thanks for the vote of confidence was leaning that way. Was still wondering if anyone has experienced either and their opinions.

I use the T0 as rear surrounds in my living room and they work great. Not too big and I don't have to worry about my kids knocking them off their stands. They match well with my Goldenear passive soundbar, the cost is very reasonable and I don't have the urge to upgrade them at all.

I recently replaced by side and rear surrounds with T0 speakers and I am very happy that I did. It is hard to describe, but the sound seems more natural and surrounding if that makes any sense. The sound seems to flow more naturally from speaker to speaker now. Also, because of the speaker stands I was using with the previous bookshelf speakers, the T0s actually take up less room than the previous speakers. My front and center channel speakers are T1+ and C2+. Very pleased with my setup.

Thanks for the vote of confidence was leaning that way. Was still wondering if anyone has experienced either and their opinions. I have their prior MTM speaker - which is basically a T0 but with a tradional tweeter - for my back 4, and like the others it sounds fine. However, also like the others, I have no experience with an even bigger tower speaker for those. Smaller speakers I have had but not bigger like the T1's.

Appreciate all the feedback/input. Placed an order for the T0’s with an E2+ for front heights second guessed myself and ended up canceling due to mistakenly thinking I didn’t have the connections for the front hts by overlooking the duality of the subs/heights. Ended up ordering T1+ for surrounds, rear surrounds and front wides. Just ordered my second XPA7 Gen 3 which will power all surrounds and a XPA-DR3 for the front and center channels.
Have a busy week prepping a bunch of speaker wires to do my install as soon as they arrive. Will try to remember to update this thread once I have it installed and basic setup done. Still awaiting my new theater seating to come in before fine tuning with Dirac.
