A perfect example of genius marketing.

It takes courage to do something different. Now, everything you liked about the earbuds just in a bigger design (stop saying headphones!!) . Wow I have never seen anything like this before! They have truly revolutionized earbuds! Who knew these bigger earbuds would take such a uncommon form? But on a more serious note, I am looking forward to this one. I just hope the sound quality is going to be as good. I am also hoping that they will eventually certify their airpod line up to work with always on amazon alexa.

Like common earplugs, you just wad them up and shove them in your ears. 😆 I too am looking forward to these, I need a good pair of Bluetooth over-the-ears. I do wish they had a cable option so I could use them with my mixers too, but I have plenty of wired phones. I also wish there was more compatibility between Apple, Amazon, and Google products; but ‘standards’ seems to now mean ‘it works with all OUR stuff’.

There is a cable option.... it's a 3.5" stereo plug on one end with a lightning plug on the other end. Available from Apple and others.

Noticed the new iOS and iPadOS 14.3 have AirPod Max compatibility updates
AirPods Max * Support for AirPods Max, new over-ear headphones * High fidelity audio for rich sound * Adaptive EQ adapts sound in real time to the personal fit of ear cushions * Active Noise Cancellation to block out environmental noise * Transparency mode to hear the environment around you * Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking for a theater-like listening experience

Ok, I didn’t notice a Jack on the headphones themselves, is there a picture that shows it, or a spec? I’m familiar with the Lightning adapter, but I’d want compatibility with non-Apple devices.

Hmmm... my issue is that it is actually heavier than my Sennheiser HD 800S headphones coming in at 2 ounces heavier at 13.6 ounces.

It feels quite comfortable. I am not noticing the weight. The noise reduction is first class. Connecting to Apple Devices they are using Airplay rather than Bluetooth, so a higher quality signal. I'm liking the sound, and would put it against some more expensive headphones... but I may temper that with more critical listening. So far, so good. Not overpriced, based on what I have heard so far.

Yes, Apple has a Lightning to 3.5mm connector so you can use them with a headphone output. It works fine. It's a bit pricy, but you can find cheaper ones on Amazon.

Ok, I think I understand, the Lightning jack is on the AirPods? Is that how you charge them too? Can you post a picture of the jack on the phones?

There's a lightning port on the bottom of the right ear cup. It works with 2 connectors. A lightning to USB charging cable (included). If you want to listen to audio wired, you use the same port on the headphones with a lightning to 3.5mm audio cable. It works fine. Just one port. 2 cables.
