Just purchased refurb. XMC-1 to replace my Umc-1. On the umc i used a trigger to turn on my surround and ctr channel amps which i plugged into a power strip which in turn was plugged into a triggered switch box. 1 end of the trigger cable of course went to the umc trigger output. Bare wires at the other end went to the switch box.worked perfectly for years. Now trying to use the same set up for the xmc. Nothing happens. What am i missing?

The XMC has a much more complex trigger setup than the UMC that you must configure to work the way you want. Have you gone into the trigger setup yet?

Thanks. Yes I’ve done the trigger set up for trigger 1. Did not change any defaults. All inputs and speakers are checked. Should the speakers that i want to turn on with the triggers be unchecked? Im confused.

Im confused. Sounds like it's setup properly as long as you also have Main Zone checked under the Power setting for the trigger you're using. You should have Main Zone checked under Power, Center and Surrounds checked under Speakers, and under Inputs check any input that you want might use. Checking more will not hurt anything. Headphone override doesn't matter if there are no headphones plugged in.
